Hillary Clinton’s Security Clearance Removed in August, Judiciary Committee Reveals

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s security clearance was removed at her request on Aug. 30, according to a letter (pdf) from the State Department to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Clearances for five other people Clinton designated as researchers have also been withdrawn on Sept. 20, including Clinton’s close aide Cheryl Mills, the State Department said in the Sept. 21 letter.

The letter blacks out the names of other four other Clinton “researchers” whose security clearances were withdrawn.

The State Department has required the Judiciary Committee to protect the information in the letter. The Committee Chairman, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), authorized to release the letter following consultation with the State Department, according to an Oct. 12 news release from the committee.

In the letter, the State Department said that a “two-step process” is employed to identify classified information and security incidents in documents which passed through Clinton’s unauthorized email server.

The Department’s Bureau of Administration first reviews the documents received from the FBI to identify agency records and determine the current classification of documents. This process was “completing” at the time when the letter was written.

A subset of documents identified as containing classified information “was then reviewed” by Diplomatic Security. All identified and valid security incidents have been forwarded to the Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s Office of Personnel Security and Suitability.

“All valid security incidents are reviewed by DS [Diplomatic Security] and taken into account every time an individual’s eligibility for access to classified information is considered,” the State Department wrote in the letter.

Clinton Private Email Server

Clinton’s use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state has become the focus of a criminal probe by the FBI.

The FBI’s investigation has been criticized for multiple irregularities, including the drafting by then-FBI Director James Comey of his exoneration statement of Clinton well before the investigation was concluded. Comey had also testified under oath before Congress that he had been instructed by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch to refer to the investigation as a “matter” rather than a “criminal investigation.”

The FBI’s probe, which focused on whether classified material was sent via the private email server, was complicated by the fact that at least 33,000 emails were deleted by Clinton’s team.

After her lawyers identified the emails to be deleted, Clinton staffer Paul Combetta used a program called BleachBit to permanently delete the emails from the server.

In announcing the findings of the FBI’s investigation of Clinton, Comey said at least 110 evaluated emails were deemed to contain classified information. Eight email chains were deemed “top secret” and 36 “secret.”

The FBI’s analysis, however, did not include the emails that had been deleted by Clinton’s staff.

BBC to Fight ‘Heteronormative Culture’ with Gender-Neutral Pronouns, ‘Straight Ally’ Badges

The BBC is to fight a “heteronormative culture” with a raft of pro-LGBT reforms, despite figures showing sexual minorities are already overrepresented as much as fivefold in the broadcaster’s workforce.

Staff will be told to use gender-neutral pronouns for workers who say they are “non-binary” — identifying as neither male or female — under new BBC policies, which also detail plans to put additional support in place for transgender individuals, especially while they are “transitioning”.

Workforce training on diversity, inclusion, and “unconscious bias” will also be expanded to include LGBT issues, while non-heterosexual mentors will guide less senior staff who identify as a sexual minority.

Teams working in television, news and radio broadcasting have been told to increase representation of sexual minorities, specifically that they insert more “incidental” portrayals of LGBT relationships and individuals not directly related to a storyline or news item.

In addition, the BBC said it will raise the profile of employees who are not heterosexual and urge them to “bring their whole self to work”.

‘Straight Ally’ badges will be handed out to heterosexual members of staff.

The reforms were brought in following an internal survey of 300 LGBT members of staff, who called for “improvement” in a number of areas including the demand that the BBC adopt the umbrella term LGBTQ+ for sexual minorities so as to be “inclusive” towards people who claim to belong to identities other than Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, including ‘Queer’.

James Purnell, director of radio and education, said: “One of our big challenges currently is around young audiences.

“In a recent YouGov survey only 51 percent of 18 to 24-year-olds said they identified as completely heterosexual.

“An organisation that appears to have a heteronormative culture is not one that is going to cut ice with them either as a consumer or an employee.”

As Breitbart London reported last year, official government figures showing that just 4.1 per cent of 16 to 24-year-olds reported themselves to be lesbian, gay, or bisexual (LGB) was published just a week after an Ipsos Mori poll for the BBC showed only 66 per cent of young people said they were heterosexual.

Service and investment projects to rehabilitate infrastructures in areas liberated from terrorism

The Committee said in a statement that SYP 650 million has been allocated to rehabilitate a number of damaged schools in the provinces which contributed to restarting the educational process there.

The committee added that SYP 1.7 billion has been allocated to rehabilitate the affected buildings of the police stations in Damascus and its Countryside, Daraa, Quneitra, Hama, Hasaka, Homs, Deir Ezzor, Lattakia and Aleppo.

SYP 2 billion have been allocated to rehabilitate several damaged hospitals in Harasta, al-Nashabiyah, al-Mleiha in Eastern Ghouta, health centers and ambulances in Damascus Countryside Health Directorate, in addition to allocating SYP 4.5 million to rehabilitate the Oncology Hospital in Aleppo and 1.2 million to rehabilitate Jableh hospital.

The committee also allocated SYP 753 million to rehabilitate colleges and facilities affiliated to the Euphrates University, SYP 50 million to rehabilitate Aleppo University and SYP 35 million for restoration acts in al-Baath University. MORE:

US Coalition Strikes Syrian Town Using Banned White Phosphorus - Reports

The reported strikes are not the first time that the US-led coalition has been accused of using the banned munitions in recent weeks. Last month, the Russian military reported that US strikes using white phosphorus had resulted in major fires and civilian casualties in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ez-Zor.

Idlib Deconfliction Agreement Shrinks: Militants Shell Government Targets In Northwestern Hama

On October 13, radical militants shelled the town of al-Bahsa and a base of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the northwestern Hama countryside with mortars and Grad rockets in a clear violation of the Russian-Turkish deconfliction agreement.

A source in the SAA told SouthFront that two soldiers of the SAA were killed and another one was injured as a result of the militant shelling. Furthermore, several civilians building in al-Bahsa were damaged.

The Turkish military claimed on October 10 that all heavy weapons, including mortar canons and rocket launchers, had been withdrawn from the demilitarized zone around the governorate of Idlib. However, the shelling on northwestern Hama indicates that Turkey had lied to protect the militants.

The October 13 shelling was not the first violation of the deconfliction agreement. A day earlier, the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation (NFL) destroyed a bulldozer of the SAA north of the city of Aleppo with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM).

U.S. Senate Introduces New Sanctions Against Hezbollah

On October 12, the U.S. Senate passed the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Amendments Act (HIFPAA) and the Stop Using Human Shields Act, known as (STOP), which increase the sanctions on Lebanese Hezbollah and its backers.

Once signed by U.S. President Donald Trump, the two bills will sanction individuals, entities and countries that provide financial, material or technological support to Hezbollah and its affiliates. According to reports, the sanctions will also target several organizations linked to Hezbollah such as Bayt al Mal, the Islamic Resistance Support Association, Jihad al Binaa, al-Manar TV, al-Nour Radio, and the Lebanese Media Group.

The Senate Banking Committee, headed by Senator Mike Crapo, said that the new bills will help to strengthens and expand the scope of economic and financial sanctions on Hezbollah.

“This legislation … imposes additional sanctions on Hezbollah, and targets those foreign nations, government agencies and foreign companies or individuals who would support its terrorist activities by knowingly providing arms, recruitment services and combat or financial support to its terrorist activities. It is long overdue, and constant vigilance must be maintained if we are ever to see an end to the evil this terrorist group brings,” Crapo said in an official statement.

Earlier this year, the U.S. imposed similar sanctions on Hezbollah, in what was seen as an attempt to force the Lebanese group to withdraw from Syria. However, the group leader, Hassan Nasrallah, said that these sanctions are ineffective and revealed that Hezbollah “receives its money the way it receives its weapons.”

Freed Pastor Brunson Kneels Down and Prays for President Trump in White House

On Friday US Pastor Andrew Brunson was released after spending two years in a Turkish prison.

Pastor Brunson was on house arrest following his release from prison and was unable to return to the United States. He had been living in Turkey and was working for the small Izmir Resurrection Church when he was arrested over his ties to various political groups following the failed 2016 coup attempt.

President Trump imposed sanctions on two Turkish officials who were involved in Pastor Brunson’s detention.

Thanks to prayers and President Trump taking a tough stance, Pastor Brunson is home safe.

On Saturday Pastor Brunson joined President Trump in the White House.

During introductions President Trump told his audience, “We don’t pay ransom in this country. At least not anymore.”

Pastor Brunson then got on his knees, put his hand on Trump’s shoulder and prayed for the President at the White House.
