I just have the HS diploma, am self taught well enough in electronics it allowed a progression of jobs that landed me in broadcasting after a year working live remote I took the SBE exams and passed.

I'm of the opinion that certs are more cost effective & career advancing than degrees in some fields.

If you're not used to chans I'm not sure I can explain it quicly but my take on it is similar to the million monkeys in a room banging on typewriters… produce a lot of crap but somewhere in the piles is a copy of Shakespear.

We find the crap bring it here, sort it, argue over it and keep the gems.
