It's all over the internet that the Rosatom guy was on the planeโ€“mostly tracing back to this board. But I went to their website and the names didn't seem to match.

Vyacheslav A. Pershukov is listed as working for Rosatom but his last name isn't Ivanov. There are people named Vyacheslav Ivanov but not at Rosatom as far as I can tell. There is a Viktor Ivanov who is on an advisory board. So maybe there is something about Russian names that I'm not getting but it doesn't seem like the same person.

Yes, I've read all of that. It's not the Rosatom person unless there's something different about Russian names. I've been looking into this for over an hour. I've also posted in previous breads wondering if Q meant by "over the target" that it was the guy below, Ilyinov, because he didn't say "on the target."

The very first passenger list that was posted and the one that Q responded to showed the passenger below as Evgeny Ilyn.

 

Subsequent passenger lists changed the name to Yevgeny Ilyinov, Evgeny Levanov, and several other variations of that name. So apparently "ov" was left off of his last name in the first passenger list.

 

Over the target has "ov" in it, first 2 letters. Coincidence?

This is not my area of expertise, but my conversations with friends who are more familiar with practicing within the federal court system have led me to believe that the withholding of the evidence you mention and failure to make certain disclosures open up the possibility for Flynn to withdraw his pleas even at this stage. I'm sure you've heard people mention fruit of the poisonous tree doctrine in regards to this case and it seems clear that the entire case is tainted by how the Feds have handled it.

 

Like you (I'm assuming), I want to see General Flynn not only vindicated but held up as the courageous hero he truly is. A pardon from POTUS is just not going to be enough in this case.

 

Not sure if you follow the Dilley drops, and just mentioning them here can get you filtered, but he has said some interesting things about the Flynn case. His "source" says General Flynn will not only be fully vindicated but will become super rich after winning lawsuits against the government's (difficult to sue individual agents of the government who often have immunity in such cases) handling of his case. (See "witch-hunt") I sure the fuck hope so!

 

Wish I could be more help but trustworthy details are hard to come by in the case where misinformation is around every corner.

The Law is an ass.

 

The law defends these criminals. They are above the law, even still to this point! Hopefully not for long though.

 

But if the law was not an issue, then a few of us would simply "sort out" the Clinton's.

We need to decide when, even if the administration isn't willing, when we must be willing, this will give the administration more freedom to act!

What you are referring to is the action of lazy or corrupt prosecutors and judges.

The law is fine if applied equally.

The jury system works if the jury is properly educated and doesn't depend on a judge to tell them what they should already know about their rights, responsibilities and duties.

You're exactly right about intent and Giglio. Fruit of the poisonous tree is not often applied because of the danger the precedent can set regarding other similar cases. So many cases (and the investigations leading to them) are flawed or error ridden and applying poisonous tree doctrine routinely could lead to far too many cases being thrown out.

 

Also, you mentioned disclosures before and my understanding is that there are a plethora of disclosures that the Feds failed to make, many regarding the various agents involved in the case. (Known bias against the administration comes to mind as an example)

 

And again you are right about damages continuing to accrue, although it is difficult to say how much it is going to help as far as pay out in the end. Flynn will likely sue for several different reasons, and one of the payouts will be from emotional distress from the miscarriage of justice in his case. The amount of time he suffered will be considered when calculating his damage award and more time = more money, to speak plainly. That said, the calculations are all relative and a few months either way may not make a big difference as far as his award.

 

I'm sure General Flynn is far more concerned with just having his name cleared after all his exemplary years of service to our country, but most of us here will be quite happy to hear him come out of this with some money from the government that fucked him so hard.

I'm in the family law area (governed by state law almost exclusively) and I have to think back to my law school days to try and get a handle on a big federal case like this. Lol.

 

The fact that people like General Flynn can get railroaded is just one example of why our entire justice system needs to be reformed. Private prisons, absurd drug laws, etc. Also, the fact that having more money can help determine outcomes is as outrageous as it is true. I'm a minor government official. Appointed, not elected. I understand the frustration of some on here. I deal with laymen who have the same perspective of it "should have been done yesterday at the latest" and you are right. "Should" is a great word.
