You missed his point. If things change without massive deception being exposed, then most people will think things got better because they voted the right person in…you can only redpill someone who realizes how badly he's been deceived. In order to show the deception, there needs to be at least some major exposure events…otherwise we will be arguing as conspiracy theorists and normies even after the mess is cleaned up.
For people to guard against an evil they need to know how it happened in the first place…in this case, because they were put to sleep by television, media, etc…
