Yes, but we support independent thought. We don't ban or ostracize or whatever the hell else just because someone dares ask a question. Mods in "Q groups" on FB have turned the groups into echo chambers. Any questioning, dissent will get someone banned from the group. Not entitled to independent thought, even in a "Q group." Spouseanon was banned from one for questioning the mod…once. "It is how it is because I said so."
I watch how they rule on cases. That's how I determine whether to keep them or not. To me, that's more important than R and D. Example, voted to retain a judge who suppressed 50 lbs of pot seized in a traffic stop because the Trooper who stopped the guy called for a dog, went back to his squad and did NOTHING while waiting (Rodriguez v. US requires the cop to do SOMETHING related to the stop while waiting). Evidence suppressed. If they ignore precedent, usually a Dem anyway and vote to throw em out.
Then again I am a reformed lawfag who still enjoys reading that kind of shit while the majority do not keep track of cases. Alternatively, Google. The Illinois State Bar won't be of much help. Run their names through and find out if they're R or D. And research if you have the time, I suppose.
Have not seen one single Rauner sign and I'm downstate. South of Rock Island County. JB fuckin everywhere I see. If red wave for IL is the case then it's really hush hush and Rauner voters keeping it to themselves.
