This was an excellent article. Thank you for putting it in Notables. True reading of the Constitution, as supreme law of the land, striking down any law from the federal system that violates the Constitution because the powers to write the law were reserved to the states and the people respectively.
Those state powers, and "we the people" powers are everything that was not enumerated to the federal system, meaning, they were not specifically given to the feds in the Constitution.
The state governments and the people have all the power too many to list. The federal system has such little power, you can "enumerate them" (count them) on your hands for each branch.
Federal government is not above any state government. They have separate spheres of law granted by the Constitution.
It is a check and balance system.
The feds check the state abuses.
The states check the federal abuses through state nullification.
Only the Constitution is supreme.
Nullification by the states; is the right to ignore the feds wherever the feds are not given a power to legislate a matter but they attempt to abuse their power, and legislate in a non enumerated sphere.
Meddling in schools with a non enumerated federal program like Common core, is one example.
The outlawing of any green plant is another.
The commerce clause, where the feds think they can regulate anything not nailed to the floor is bullshit and needs to be turned back. It is there to stop the states from going to war with one another, but it is NOT THERE to allow the feds to regulate everything that could possibly move over some state line.
This is the one thing that they do not want the population to understand, so they try not to teach it in schools.
While we are here, people should check out the most "Classified Top Secret" of all:
Jury Nullification
Thank you Mr. Whitaker!
