FWIW I'm the op of the twatter acct that posted the flurry of gore/apparent killings this morning so I'm not without concern that there may be something actually going on - there just hasn't been any real follow up reports on anything for real that are looking credible to me in the intervening time. Just the same basic info, massaged and re posted.

It's the near total lack of alt-media and/or on the ground info.
1 twitter user, as near as I can tell, and 1 Haiti website posting something a few days ago - that btw isn't even mentioned on that sites front page.
Pretty smelly to me and potentially very well designed to feed confirmation biases.
