To me, the key to exposing cover up that is the official Warren Commission account is to exploit it's biggest weakness: Oswald was on the Sixth Floor of the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD) firing the shots during the assassination.
If it can be shown that Oswald was down in front as he told interrogators, it totally unravels the official story.
All early, first-day evidence/accounts (the most reliable and all open source) has Oswald down near the entrance of the TSBD
There is photographic evidence (Darnell film) of an unknown man standing in the entrance of the TSBD as the motorcade passed. This man superficially resembles Oswald.
Requests for access tot he film to allow for high-resolution digital scans have repeatedly been denied.
