Not a bad example, but I don't think Bloomberg ever was as vilified as Trump. Trump was laughed at and told he couldn't do it from his first day on the campaign. Bloomberg was/still is a media darling. Also Bloomberg's desire for mass acceptance can be seen by his newspaper ownership. Trump too pandered to the public before his political days, but as any salesman would, such as Jobs, Marc Cuban, or even Buffet, but in my opinion, never like Bloomberg. But still I like the point you brought up.
