This early-detection "diagnostic" aspect of medicine is a racket. Same as wanting you to get your car checked as often as possible – so they can recommend products & services for you to purchase. Only in the case of Pharma, the products and tests themselves lead to even more medical problems, which they're happy to treat with even more problem-inducing remedies ofc. So it's more like the mechanic deliberately sabotaging something in your engine so he can then recommend his services to repair.
