Yes.
Do a FireFucks refresh, dump Chrome altogether.
Download Ccleaner from Piriform.com (not a third party like download.com as they bundle crap with it)
run it everyday at end of browsing session, & once a week with wipe free space checked off & give it 6-8 hours to perform task.
Not a cure all but it helps.
