I am going a dig on the color field of the strong nuclear force because I think they may have been using it in the Mayotte wave. (first it is not color just a field with three poles.
So basically a gluon is the current between quarks and causes a polar shift like an alternating current between gluons. There is 6 different charges, 3 real or (positive) and 3 anti (negative). Physics call these color charges. Gluons zero mass, zero electrical charge and have a transverse wave – the oscillations perpendicular to energy transfer, all this basically says it is a field with a current (a color current). We should be studying the gluon as a field, a field with 3 currents and 6 charges, and 8 (why not 9?) possible combinations of field architecture.
