Here are some of my thoughts after reading the Hill article. Other than Kessel knowing where the bodies are buried here is what I noticed.

"Compliance by private Wall Street firms" -

Was there gross negligence resulting from the mishandling of information/insufficient information protection at the CF? Fiscal compliance only or info-sec as well such as SOCI, SOC2, PCI, NIST, ISO27001?

Drug Enforcement Administration money-laundering investigations. -

U1 Deal? Money from Russia for speaking engagements? Would any of this link back to CF or SOROS? Foundation donations?

Optics for the investigation -

"The firm wasn’t hired by clients but, rather, conducted its research on the Clinton Foundation at its own expense " - This looks better from an "optics" standpoint. - They cannot say that POTUS or affiliates hired MDA to dig dirt on the CF. MDA went after the CF on "their own" so to speak without direct/immediate monetary incentives to find wrongdoing.

MULLER SET THE PRECEDENT WITH COHEN!!! AHAHAHAHAHA! tit for tat bitches -

"Danik said the only investigative challenge is that some documents assembled by the private investigators are marked as attorney-client privileged and federal agents might need special permission to use them.

“Given that [special counsel Robert] Mueller got the OK to investigate Michael Cohen and his attorney-client communications with President Trump, I imagine that hurdle could be overcome under the crime-fraud exception,” he said."
