This no confidence vote has no chance of going through. It requires 289 votes out of 577. Macron's party has 309 representatives, who would effectively be firing themselves.
In addition, even if the vote went through, Macron would not be removed from office. Macron would select a new prime minister, who would pick a new cabinet. Macron could also refused the resignation of the government and fire the House representatives.
This is just a toothless political gesture by our leftists.
