re mention of “Alice in Wonderland” 1:14:15 in the video on CF Hearings today
Went searching on another tape, no luck, switched to this one (see c 1:14): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUYYxm0UF9A
After Tim Fitton's testimony, Dem Jerry Connelly feels like he's in "Alice in Wonderland"
The conversation highlights around "Alice in Wonderland" remark turned out to be interdasting:
Context: Jody Hice and Tom Fitton discuss DOJ trying to get FBI to back off on CF investigation prior to the 2016 election. ~1:11
Connolly: Do you believe that this demonstrates that the Justice Dept. was actively trying to protect the Clinton Foundation from an FBI investigation?
Fitton: Yeah….it's just one of a few pieces of evidence showing that the Clinton Foundation was being protected by the Justice Dept, especially during an election year….
Hice What in your opinion would be the reason that they were trying to protect the Clinton Foundation?
Fitton: Well, the Justice Dept at the time was working at the time with the Clinton Campaign to target President Trump:….
Hice: Would you say it…at least causes some red flags? For the Justice Dept., it sounds like what you're alleging is that they were actively involved in trying to influence the election.
Fitton: Oh, it sure does. I think this is an area that needs to be explored….[wants much more accountability for DOJ]….
Hice: …Why would the Justice Dept try to pressure the FBI to step a perfectly valid investigation?
Fitton: For political reasons….
Hice: I believe that what you just said is the whole reason we're here….What you have just said is the precise reason why we are doing oversight….
[switch to Jerry Connolly]
Connolly: I swear, Mr. Fitton, listening to your testimony, it's like being in Alice in Wonderland.
He goes on to say that "apparently, none of this is happening the real world. Tries to cast aspersions on POTUS re Cohen conviction. Expresses outrage that Fitton has rejected the FBI results, which is sees as fantasy, and failed to embrace "real" crimes like that of Cohen–and by extension, POTUS….he subsequently attacks Fitton and says the "reason we're here" is to distract the public from the [real not fantastical] Russian collusion investigation.

Judging by Connolly's remarks, Fitton must have been right over the target!
Connolly's reference to "Alice in Wonderland" is supposed to show how unbelievable Fitton's claims about the CF investigation really are. But for anons, it evokes something quite different….
