This is not the first time we've seen this. It's definitely not about Dave. There is a lot of disagreement about who is and is not "one of us."

Shills can obviously take advantage of this situation by preying upon peoples' sensitivities around moneymaking, fame, etc.

One wise anon last bread said we need to be unified ACROSS PLATFORMS, so that we see all patriots–whether they are politicians, YouTubers, or whatever–as essentially united in our desire to overthrow tyranny and uphold the Constitution. Obviously people who take a direct stand against what we work for are not our friends. But fighting over trifles does not make sense.

Thank you for your eloquent defense of an individual who has contributed so much to so many of us.

Here is my two cents worth on asking for notables.

  1. Everybody disagrees about whether it's ok or not. That's fine.

  2. I think it's ok but have "standards." If I request a notable, I make it a request or use a question mark; flatly announcing Notable in red text doesn't go over well.

  3. I don't usually request it the first time, hope it gets nominated by others.

  4. Before asking for notable, I ask myself why I want it. Usually, it's because I see the info as valuable to other anons. Here's when I tend to ask:

a. when requested (often by a previous baker or digging anon)

b. when part of an ongoing dig (where other anons are looking for the next installment)

c. when timely (breaking news)

d. when posting for another anon (something stuff gets overlooked or someone is phonefagging and can't give much sauce, etc., and I will sauce it and submit, trying to give credit to PO when feasible)
