Jonathan Turley on Mike Flynn: “It Was a Canned Hunt” – “They Put Him in a Cage and Shot Him”

George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley weighed in on the FBI’s conduct during their interrogation of General Mike Flynn. Turley went on with Martha MacCullum on Friday night following the Special Counsel release of the notes in the summer of 2017 on the interrogation of General Mike Flynn in January 2017.

The original 302 notes from the meeting between former Trump White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn with corrupt FBI agent Peter Strzok and mysterious FBI agent Joe Pientka have yet to be found or released.

Flynn was a top target of the Obama Deep State. The FBI did not even notify Flynn he was being interrogated. In fact, earlier this week we found out that Deep State hacks Strzok and Pientka joked with Flynn and Flynn gave them a tour of his area before their discussion.

We also know today, according to Turley, that the FBI agents did not follow up or question Flynn on any of his statements during their discussion.

And according to the original 302 report that has not been released the agents believed Flynn was truthful with them.

This was all a set up. It was a hit on Mike Flynn.

Jonathan Turley: We do know that for some reason they were hunting for Flynn. They say quite clearly, “We intentionally didn’t remind him he’s got to be careful what he says to us. It can be a crime,” which they did with other witnesses. They skipped the protocols and went directly to him circumventing counsel from the White House. And then when he finally did say something that they thought was not accurate they didn’t raise it. They didn’t correct it. So the question is, why would they be hunting for Flynn at this point. That’s what’s not explained in any of these filings.

Disney Channel Actor Arrested For Planning Sex With 13-Year-Old

Working for Disney is one of the most coveted jobs in the industry, especially now that Disney has expanded to include so many successful franchises such as Star Wars and Marvel Studios. But working at a family company means you must be an upstanding individual who can be trusted with children, especially since so many young people look up to their favorite characters and the actors playing them.

That is why when Disney's actor Stoney Westmoreland was arrested and charged with planning a sexual encounter with a 13-year-old, the company immediately fired him without hesitation. The 48-year-old Westmoreland is known for playing the grandfather on the Disney Channel show "Andi Mack."

The actor was arrested Friday and charged with trying to arrange to have sex with a 13-year-old child on the internet. Within hours of Westmoreland's arrest, Disney announced it had severed all ties with the despicable actor. A spokesperson for Disney Channel said in a statement Friday night:

"Stoney Westmoreland, an actor, working on the series "Andi Mack," was arrested in Salt Lake City today. Given the nature of the charges and our responsibility for the welfare of employed minors, we have released him from his recurring role, and he will not be returning to work on the series which wraps production on its third season next week."

Ironically, and also disturbingly, the age of the child victim, in this case, is the same age as the main characters of the young actors who star in "Andi Mack." The Disney sitcom is a comedy created by Terri Minsky and follows 13-year-old Andi Mack and her best friends. Mack's friends, Cyrus Goodman and Buffy Driscoll, all attend the same middle school in the show.

Westmoreland was arrested where the show is filmed in Utah Friday, according to local news station KSL. Court documents reveal he was arrested for investigation of enticing a minor by Internet or text, which is a second-degree felony in the state. He was also charged with four counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor which are third-degree felonies.

According to an affidavit filed in Utah's 3rd District Court in Salt Lake City, Westmoreland had begun communicating online with a user who he knew was underage "on an Internet app used for dating and meeting people for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity." The affidavit did not say which app Westmoreland and the child were using.

Police say the actor asked the victim to engage in sexual acts with him and send nude photos of themselves. Westmoreland also sent pornographic images to the child, according to court documents.

Cooper vetoes voter ID bill

Raleigh, N.C. — Gov. Roy Cooper on Friday vetoed legislation setting up the rules for the state's new requirement that voters present photo identification at the polls, calling it "a solution in search of a problem."

The General Assembly is expected to gather next week to override Cooper's decision. Republicans hold a super-majority in both chambers, giving them the numbers to do so without help from legislators in Cooper's party.

They may get some, though. The bill got yes votes during the ongoing legislative session from Reps. Duane Hall

, D-Wake, and Ken Goodman

, D-Richmond, and Sens. Joel Ford

, D-Mecklenburg, Ben Clark

, D-Hoke, and Don Davis

, D-Pitt.

Cooper said in his veto message that the state doesn't need to require photo ID for people voting in person. In fact, the state constitution requires that now, though it allows for exceptions. Voters agreed to add it to the North Carolina Constitution during the November elections, and the General Assembly met in a lame-duck session to write more detailed rules while Republicans still held their super-majorities.

Democrats broke those veto-proof super-majorities in November, but that won't take effect until January.

"We are certainly disappointed that Gov. Cooper chose to ignore the will of the people and reject a common-sense election integrity measure that is common in most states," House Speaker Tim Moore

said in a statement. "The North Carolina House will override his veto as soon as possible."

“Governor Cooper’s veto explanation for the reasonable and bipartisan voter ID bill is a tired rehash of unconvincing talking points rejected by the voters," Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger

said in a statement. "Despite the governor’s personal feelings on voter ID, the fact remains that the constitutional amendment passed with a broad mandate from North Carolinians. The governor is putting special interests ahead of the people’s will, and we plan to override the veto."

Cooper said the proposed law "puts up barriers to voting that will trap honest voters in confusion and discourage them with new rules." The bill's fundamental flaw is its "sinister and cynical origins," he said, and that it was "designed to suppress the rights of minority, poor and elderly voters."

"The cost of disenfranchising those voters or any citizens is too high, and the risk of taking away the fundamental right to vote is too great, for this law to take effect," Cooper said in his veto message.

North Carolina's previous voter ID law was thrown out in 2016 by the federal courts, which decided GOP legislators targeted minority voters "with almost surgical precision" as they crafted that law and other election changes. The new bill, Senate Bill 824, is significantly broader in the sorts of IDs it would allow voters to present on election day.
