Why do people keep making a big deal about that? I would expect ALL news outlets and websites owned by Gannet to use the same certificate. All this certificate does is prove they are who they say they are.
Their ownership of these news outlets is public record.
The certificate is just to validate they are who they say they are. The only exposure is that, assuming they are CIA, the clowns also have a copy of the certificate, so can spoof them.
