My read is that Flynn didn't lie to the FBI - he told the truth.
But that wasn't going to help Yates.
It's why she was upset they talked him on the record, and why she needed to rush over to the WH before the 302 was finalized.
She wanted him fired based on lying to Pence (and the American people), before he 302 proved otherwise.
