How did neither side know that Flynn's cooperation would still be ongoing until half way through the fucking hearing?
No side had their together today including the judge.

Flynn's plea deal is that he fully cooperates as much and as long as possible with as many cases as they ask him to cooperate with. If he all of a sudden changes his plea to not guilty he would be able to stop cooperating AND tell thr info he knows publicly. By keeping with his current plea deal the people involved in the cases he is helping on are still completely in the dark.
