MSNBC Uses 2011 Video to Claim Trump Administration Denies Water to Illegal Aliens

MSNBC used footage from seven years ago, when Barack Obama was president, to claim that the Trump administration has denied water to illegal aliens.

Host Joy Reid, who appeared to have lied about being hacked earlier this year, used footage from YouTube that dated back to 2011 during her Dec. 15 show.

“One of the issues was dehydration. We’re going to show you some video … but there is video of Border Patrol agents dumping water on the ground—water that was meant to be left for migrants. This is from a Tucson-based aid group,” Reid said.

The footage was then broadcast showing several Border Patrol agents destroying containers of water in the desert.

No date was shown for the footage and no other context was given, leading viewers to believe that the footage was recorded recently.

Today, Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker announced that the Department of Justice has amended the regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), clarifying that bump stocks fall within the definition of “machinegun” under federal law, as such devices allow a shooter of a semiautomatic firearm to initiate a continuous firing cycle with a single pull of the trigger.

UN General Assembly Approves Resolution On Militarization Of Crimea Sending Signal Of Support To Poroshenko Regime

On December 18, the UN General Assembly (GA) adopted a resolution voicing “grave concern over the progressive militarization of Crimea” as well as “over reports of the continuing destabilization of Crimea owing to transfers by the Russian Federation of weapon systems, including nuclear-capable aircraft and missiles, weapons, ammunition and military personnel to the territory of Ukraine.”

The document expressed concern over “multiple military exercises of Russian armed forces held in Crimea”, the building of the Kerch Strait bridge between Russia and the Crimean peninsula, the militarization of parts of the Black Sea surrounding the Crimea and the Sea of Azov by Russia adding that these actions “pose further threats to Ukraine and undermine the stability of the broader region.”

The resolution was initiated by the US, the UK, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Northern Ireland, and then submited to the UN GA by Ukraine.

66 countries voted in favor of the resolution titled “A/73/L47 Problem of the militarization of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine, as well as parts of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov”, 19 – against, 72 – abstained.

Commenting on the situation, Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyanskiy said that it is disappointing to observe the “extremely politicized” document being adopted by the UN GA.

“It is disappointing that Kiev and its Western sponsors of the General Assembly have submitted yet another extremely politicized and mendacious subject,” Polyanskiy said. “We regret the vote that has happened, but we are heartened that many states abstained not wishing to have anything with this pernicious Ukrainian enterprise.”

“The Kiev regime thus receives new signals that it’s allowed everything and all will be forgiven, while Russia will be unconditionally blamed in advance for all its sins and crimes.“

Bolton Reveals ‘New’ US New Strategy To Combat Russian & Chinese Influence In Africa

On December 13th, White House National Security Adviser John Bolton unveiled Trump’s Africa strategy. The plan focuses heavily on “countering China and Russia’s expanding influence across the region, while also making sure US taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly with a reduction in US involvement in United Nations peacekeeping missions.”

He emphasized that the US vision for Africa is “one of independence, self-reliance, and growth — not dependency, domination, and debt.”

It is somehow, however, to include additional cuts to aid and peacekeeping programs.

“This strategy is the result of an intensive interagency process, and reflects the core tenets of President Trump’s foreign policy doctrine. Importantly, the strategy remains true to his central campaign promise to put the interests of the American people first, both at home and abroad,”he said.

“Under our new approach, every decision we make, every policy we pursue, and every dollar of aid we spend will further US priorities in the region.”

The plan relies on three priorities.

The first one is to enchance US economic ties with the regio; but without providing examples of how that would be done. Bolton also accused both Russia and China of “predatory practices,” which only benefit the countries and are detrimental to Africa itself.

“In short, the predatory practices pursued by China and Russia stunt economic growth in Africa; threaten the financial independence of African nations; inhibit opportunities for U.S. investment; interfere with U.S. military operations; and pose a significant threat to U.S. national security interests.”

The second priority, according to Bolton, is to counter the threats caused by “the lack of economic progress in the region has accompanied the proliferation of Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent conflict, across Africa.”

Evidently, he mentioned Russia and China first, because they appear to be the prime guilty parties responsible for that lack of economic progress in his vision of the situation.

Bolton mentioned aid provided to Africa in past fiscal years and periods, saying that it hasn’t stopped Russia and China from taking advantage of African states.

Thus, the aid without effect will be cut, there will be no assistance without accountability.

“Americans are a generous people, but we insist that our money is put to good use,” Bolton said.

Flynn Sentencing POSTPONED – Status Report Due March 13

General Michael Flynn and his wife arrived Tuesday morning at the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse for his sentencing at 11:00 AM.

Judge Sullivan offered Flynn several times to postpone the sentencing and to give him the opportunity to withdraw his guilty plea.

The court took a 30 minutes recess and when Flynn returned, his lawyers announced they will take the judge’s offer to postpone the sentencing.

A joint status report is due in 90 days – March 13th.

General Flynn backed off from his theory that he was entrapped by the FBI and forced into a guilty plea earlier Tuesday morning.

Mueller’s prosecutor Brandon Van Grack told Judge Sullivan Tuesday that the Special Counsel was going to indict Flynn on the Turkish lobbying case unless he cooperated.

Judge Sullivan then said to General Flynn of the charges against him that he ‘arguably sold his country out.’
