I'm old enough to remember when mental institutions still operated in the US. My sister was in one. She got raped quite often in there. There was next to no oversight. It gives psychiatrists an extreme amount of power. Keep in mind, some psychiatrists think believing in God is delusional. If mental institutions come back, and evil people get another foothold, they'll absolutely use them as a way of removing political threats, gun rights activists, anti-abortion proponents, etc. If POTUS is really going to bring nut wards back he's going to need to be EXTREMELY vigilant in assuring they can't be weaponized against patriots by future administrations.

If I were a gun owner in a situation where mental institutions were a reality I wouldn't take the chance of saying that to a psychiatrist. It's recorded forever. If a hostile government returns they can use it as a pretext. Digital information retrieval plus weaponized psychiatrists plus liberal government equals a dystopian hell-society.
