Assuming your SO is a decent person otherwise, focus on life and your kids. Don't force this stuff down the throats of deep [B]LUES, especially those you care about. Let the red pills come to them organically. They will only be convinced when MSM t[e]lls them. Facts be damned.

I have a dear friend, huge 45 [H]ater. Friendship has come to a head a number of times over this stuff. I eventually just stopped t[a]lking about it with them. The friendshi[p] went back to normal. More & more recently, they are coming to me saying things like, "I heard on NPR that this Russia thing is a joke, and they are just trying to divide us rather than pick a side…and the guest saying it was a writer from the New Yorker!"

Focus your energy educating those with even a sliver of an open mind (i.e. social media, moderate friends, etc.). They are the only ones who will hear you…for now.

Another tactic I've seen effective around hardline dems/libs (friends/SO) is to let them overhear you talking with others in a group setting. In public, [p]eople are more kind and receptive to debate. Perfect example is how divisive and mean people are on social media. Less than 1% would act that way face to face.

And, if it needs to be said, dial it back (a lot) in public. Ease people into this stuff. Stick to FACTS. Things like "no collusion"… oh Manafort? who did he really work for, things like that. Point out real examples of fake news. Despite what you/we may believe or theorize here, if you barge into a group of people talking about how Q said Hillary is a blood sucking pedo, [y]ou're going to have a bad time.

Bottom line, keep this stuff mostly to yourself when it comes to close personal relationships that involve a political divide. Live a happy life. Those with isolation/depression/broken homes/lost jobs do not make good warriors in this fight. Find your light, and adjust your tactics.

Also, stop doxxing yourselves with these "are you feeling like this?" #metoo stories. Many if not all of them are b8.

Their salary isn't that important because of retirement money, so stepping in on the lower end of the pay scale isn't too much of a problem.

Smart kids know what their career path was and realize they don't need a teaching major.

These types of teachers have a hard time in the general classes (no discipline/no administrative support/not worth the hassle) though.

Most young teachers go to the low tuition state colleges for a teaching degree. Not saying that's bad, but you did get the influx of that element of people who have the "I got a college education", attitude.

Need to develop viable alternatives and get rid of teacher certification requirements as they stand now to allow more subject experience into education from grade 5 or so upwards and pay them what they're worth, IMO. Along with that they need to go back to tracking, college prep, business and trade high schools.

BERLIN (Reuters) - A leader of the nationalist Alternative for Germany (AfD) is pushing to overturn the party’s ban on members joining rallies by the anti-Islam PEGIDA movement - another sign of the rightward shift of Germany’s budding main opposition party.

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservatives and the Social Democrats (SPD) are struggling to stop voters switching to the AfD, which won almost 13 percent in a Sept. election and entered parliament. The latest INSA poll this week showed the AfD on 16 percent - overtaking the SPD for the first time.

Keen to ensure it does not alienate voters in the political centreground, the AfD has in the past been careful to avoid allying itself with the grassroots PEGIDA movement which holds regular events to protest against “Islamisation”.

Crowds at PEGIDA (Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West) rallies have dwindled since peaking in early 2015. At that time, some 25,000 supporters joined twilight rallies and marches through Dresden which struck a chord with those opposed to an influx of migrants in Germany.

“This is about PEGIDA in Dresden,” Joerg Meuthen, AfD co-leader, told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung daily. “We should lift the ban on cooperation that we have,” he said.

He wants AfD members to be able to speak at PEGIDA rallies and show party symbols there.

The city of Dresden in the formerly communist east of Germany has since become home to a strong far-right movement and fertile ground for PEGIDA. At the marches, PEGIDA supporters hold placards with slogans such as “foreigners out”.

However, Meuthen acknowledged there could be a problem with any close links to Lutz Bachmann, one of the founders of the Dresden branch of PEGIDA who is widely viewed as a political liability.

Bachmann, who has drugs and burglary convictions, briefly quit as leader of PEGIDA after pictures were printed of him posing with a Hitler moustache and haircut.

Meuthen said his main problem with developing closer ties to PEGIDA was Bachmann. “We cannot imagine any cooperation that is rooted in the person of Bachmann,” he was quoted as saying FAZ.

Some other AfD leaders support the shift. Co-leader Alexander Gauland told the weekly Stern that a rapprochement was possible if Bachmann retreated further into the background.
