The suit accuses Dr. Madeline Vazquez, an expert in thoracic biopsies at New York Weill, of misreading Gonzalez’s test results. And it charges co-defendant Dr. Valerie Rusch, a Sloan-Kettering thoracic surgeon described as among the top 10 in the country, of failing to double-check that diagnosis.
