Two Americans – Including One Texan – Captured in Syria Fighting for ISIS

Warren Christopher Clark sent a resume to ISIS volunteering to teach English in the caliphate capital.

The two Americans along with three other terrorists were planning a missile attack on innocent civilians when they were captured.

Clark was named in a George Washington University study as one of at least 64 Americans from 16 states who had traveled to Iraq and Syria since 2011 to join jihadist groups.

FOX News reported:

Two Americans were among five ISIS fighters recently captured in eastern Syria, according to a spokesman for the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces.

The Americans were identified as Warren Christopher Clark (aka Abu Mohammad al-Ameriki) of Houston, and Zaid Abed al-Hamid (aka Abu Zaid al-Ameriki), originally from the U.S., but no specific location was reported.

Clark was identified in an NBC News report last February as an American who had sent his resume to ISIS, in hopes of joining the terror group.

“We are aware of open source reports of reportedly American citizens currently in custody who were believed to be fighting for ISIS,” Navy Cmdr. Sean Robertson, a Pentagon spokesman, told Fox News in a statement. “However, we are unable to confirm this information at this time. The incident is under investigation.”

America's last? First Senate bill of 2019 aims to protect Israel from boycott, report reveals

With the start of the 2019 legislative session, one might hope the US Senate would prioritize ending the two-week government shutdown. Instead, the Senate’s first bill of the year reportedly aims to protect Israel from boycotts.

According to The Intercept, the first piece of legislation to be rolled out by the 2019 GOP-controlled Senate will give the US government the authority to cut ties with companies that choose to boycott Israel. The not-very-America-first decree is part of a series of foreign policy-related measures which will make up S.1 – the designation given to the symbolically important first bill of the session.

The boycott-banning legislation has apparently taken precedence over the ongoing government shutdown – already the third-longest on record, shuttering nine departments and leaving hundreds of thousands of government workers without paychecks.

With Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida) as the lead sponsor, the Combating BDS Act is expected to receive bipartisan support. Coincidentally, punishing corporations and individuals who support the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement is a top legislative priority for AIPAC, the powerful pro-Israel lobby. The bill was previously introduced (but never passed) last year, and gave state and local governments the authority to refuse to do business with US firms participating in a boycott against Israel. Similar anti-BDS legislation has already been adopted in 26 states. So far, two federal courts have ruled that punishing companies or individuals who boycott goods produced in Israel violates constitutionally-protected rights under the First Amendment.

Dems refuses to work with Trump on border security, but just attempted to promote abortion overseas

House Democrats remain steadfast in their refusal to work with President Donald Trump on border security, insisting not a single taxpayer dollar should be used to fund Trump's proposed border wall. The brutal fight has led to a partial government shutdown now entering its third week.

However, Democrats displayed willingness last week — in their first piece of proposed legislation as the majority party in the House — to use taxpayer dollars to support a more sinister cause: overseas abortions.

What are the details?

In a bill supposedly meant to end the government stalemate, Democrats included language that would repeal a provision meant to prevent U.S. aid dollars from funding abortion overseas.

The Washington Examiner reported:

The spending bill would repeal a provision instituted by President Trump that requires foreign nongovernmental organizations to certify that they will not "perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning." The provision, formally known as the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance policy, was once called the Mexico City Policy, known by critics as the "global gag rule."

The bill also would increase funding by $5 million for the United Nations Population Fund, to $37.5 million. Anti-abortion organizations oppose the program because they say it participates in coercive abortions and involuntary sterilizations.

Fortunately, because Republicans retained control of the Senate, any highly partisan bill from the House almost certainly faces death in the Senate.

Indeed, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) characterized the Democratic spending bill as "a time-wasting act of political posturing" because Democrats passed it knowing it would not receive the required 60 votes for approval in the Senate.

Additionally, McConnell has said he plans to reject all legislation that does not include money for a border wall.

Malaysian king abdicates throne weeks after marrying Russian beauty queen

Sultan Muhammad V has stepped down as Malaysia's king hot on the heels of his reported marriage to a Russian beauty queen.

The king’s future has been the source of rampant speculation since he took medical leave at the start of November last year. He was due to return to his duties earlier this week but instead issued a statement on Sunday announcing that he is abdicating the throne that he has held for only two years.

Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy with the unusual arrangement seeing the king selected from the royal rulers of the nine Malay states on a rotational basis, with each king’s term lasting five years. Muhammad V is the first monarch to abdicate the throne since the Muslim-majority country gained independence from Britain in 1957.

In his statement, the 49-year-old expressed his gratitude to the Malay Rulers, who elected him in 2016. He also paid tribute to Malaysia Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and the government for their cooperation in governing the country.

Dem House Armed Services Chair: Trump Has the Authority to Use the Military to Build His Wall

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” House Armed Service Committee chairman Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) said President Donald Trump does have the authority to declare a national emergency and have the military build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Host George Stephanopoulos asked, “Does President Trump have the ability, have the authority to declare a national emergency and have the military build his wall?”

Smith said, “Well, unfortunately, the short answer is yes. There is a provision in the law that says the president can declare an emergency. It’s been done a number of times, but primarily it’s been done to build facilities in Afghanistan and Iraq. In this case, I think the president would be wide open to a court challenge saying, where is the emergency? You have to establish that in order to do this. Beyond that, this would be a terrible use of Department of Defense dollars.”

He added, “The president spends most of his time talking about how we’re not spending enough on national security, now he wants to take $20 billion out of defense budget to build a wall. Which by the way, is not going to improve our border security. The president seems unaware of this, but we have actually already built a wall across much of the border, and all border security experts that I talk to say, where a wall makes sense, it’s already been built. We should have a conversation about border security, but first, we should we open the government and pay our border patrol agents and the federal agents that are furloughed.”

US intelligence think tank conducted “false flag” operation impersonating Russian election interference

A series of articles published in the past week have revealed that the New Knowledge think tank conducted a “false flag” operation to influence the 2017 Alabama state election and make it appear that Russia was conducting a Twitter campaign to back its preferred candidate. New Knowledge is closely connected to the US intelligence agencies and has been widely cited as an impartial investigator of “Russian meddling” in US politics.

The story was first reported by the Washington Post on December 18 and the New York Times on December 19. Only a day earlier, both newspapers had carried lead front-page articles based largely on a New Knowledge report that claimed to provide new evidence of Russian social media operations to influence American politics.

As is the now well-established procedure, the report by New Knowledge was presented by the Times and Post as “independent” and scientific. The articles in the Times and Post were then made the basis for countless news articles and television reports breathtakingly reporting the latest nefarious activities of the Kremlin as established fact.

The New Knowledge report, entitled “The Tactics & Tropes of the Internet Research Agency,” cited hundreds of predominantly left-wing social media posts on Facebook, including on police violence and government spying, to argue that Russian activities were sowing political divisions in the United States. It amounted to a brief for mass internet censorship directed against working-class political opposition. (See: “The disinformation campaign behind the allegations of Russian ‘disinformation’”)

In its December 19 article, the Times admits that New Knowledge CEO Johnathon Morgan was involved in an effort to promote the election of Democrat Doug Jones against Republican rival Roy Moore in the 2017 Alabama Senate election. The operation, codenamed “Project Birmingham,” included creating fake Facebook pages to attract conservative voters and promote an obscure write-in conservative Republican candidate likely to draw votes away from Moore. The operation also sought to artificially inflate click rates on anti-Moore news stories in order to encourage more such articles. Moore ultimately lost the election.

Most significantly, the Times report includes the admission that the project “involved a scheme to link the Moore campaign to thousands of Russian accounts that suddenly began following the Republican candidate on Twitter, a development that drew national media attention.”

The Times goes on to quote an internal report by New Knowledge, summarizing Project Birmingham: “We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet.” Moore’s Twitter account was followed by numerous accounts with an obviously fake and Russian appearance, featuring profile pictures of celebrities and Russian cyrillic characters.

In other words, the very body cited as an impartial expert on unsubstantiated allegations of Russian “disinformation” itself carries out actual disinformation fabricating evidence of Russian meddling.

Mitt Romney's wife had blind trust invested in Goldman Sachs' sex trafficking fund

The wife of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney had a blind trust invested in the Goldman Sachs' sex trafficking fund, it emerged today.

According to an August 2011 financial disclosure report by the Romneys, Ann Romney's blind trust had an investment valued between $15,001 and $50,000 in Goldman's GS Capital Partners III.

Reuters reported that while there is no suggestion the Romneys knew about the investment, the disclosure highlights the difficulty for politicians and their families when they invest in blind trusts that are supposed to protect them from conflicts of interest and ethical questions.

Goldman said on Sunday that GS Capital Partners III signed a deal last Friday to sell its 16 percent stake in Village Voice Media, which owns the website Backpage.com, back to management.

Critics argue that Backpage.com facilitates the trafficking of underage prostitutes and sex slaves, although others question that.

Andrea Saul, a spokesman for Romney, stressed that the funds were managed on a blind basis, 'so the trustee, not the Romneys, make their investment decisions.

'Furthermore, the trustee invests in funds, but, as a passive investor, has no control over the funds' investments.'

Goldman's divestiture is the latest development in a growing controversy over online adult advertising that has pitted celebrities, law enforcement officials, members of Congress and New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof against Village Voice Media.

The private media company has the largest share of revenue in the United States from online advertising of adult services.

It has responded aggressively, challenging critics' data with editorial investigations and claiming that it goes to far greater lengths than competitors in cooperating with law enforcement and monitoring its ads for illegal activity.

The original size and timing of the blind-trust investment were not disclosed, though in 2007 the Ann Romney trust reported during Mitt Romney's previous failed attempt to get nominated as Republican presidential candidate that its investment in the Goldman fund was then worth between $100,001 and $250,000.

Sweden Hands Out over 132,000 Residency Permits in 2018

The Swedish migration board handed out 132,696 residency permits in 2018 which include tens of thousands of asylum seekers and their family members.

The largest number of residency permits were given for reasons of family connections which included 72 adoptions, 16,641 family reunifications for asylum seekers, 18,792 family reunifications labelled “other,” and 9,339 permits for children born to parents with citizenship outside the European Union, migration board report states.

The number of new asylum seekers has decreased since the height of the migrant crisis in 2015 with 2018 seeing 25,114 asylum applications in total and within that number were 4,908 asylum seekers taking advantage of the new “high school law” which was aimed at granting asylum to around 9,000 underage migrants, mostly coming from Afghanistan.

The law was controversial and went ahead despite revelations that around 78 per cent of the Afghan asylum seekers were actually adults according to a study by Swedish newspaper Expressen conducted last May.

Additionally, according to the report, 99.4 per cent were also shown to be male.

Asylum seekers and family reunification residency permits made up the majority of the total residency permits for 2018, continuing a trend that Breitbart London reported on in September last year.

Broken down into countries of origin, the statistics show the largest groups were Afghans with 2,018 family reunifications; Syrians with 8,313 plus 2,702 children born to Syrian citizens; Eritreans had 3,075 with 1,491 children born in Sweden to Eritrean citizens; and Iraqis with 1,528 family reunifications.

The country where the most asylum seekers originated in 2018 was Afghanistan with 8,721 granted residency permits followed by Syria and Eritrea.

Sweden has seen unprecedented levels of mass migration over the last decade and following the height of the migrant crisis in 2015, the country has begun to feel the effects which have led to some to propose municipal tax increases as well as raising the retirement age to handle the costs associated with mass migration.

Adding to the problem has also been the unemployment rate of migrants, which is much higher than native Swedes with heavily migrant populated cities like Malmö having much higher unemployment rates compared to the Swedish average.

African Cardinal: Europe has lost its roots and is invaded by other cultures that will dominate it by their numbers

An interview fragment of African Cardinal Robert Sarah, has gone viral after it appeared on the timeline of Twitter and YouTube personality Paul Joseph Watson.

In the short footage, the Cardinal says among other things, that Europe “has lost its roots” and is invaded by other cultures that will take it over by the numbers.

According to our sources, the actual interview stems from November 2016 and is called “Why the West will die” on a French news site called “Boulevard Voltaire”.

In the interview the Cardinal was asked: We feel you worried about the Western world. What worries you?

The Cardinal explains: “You know the biggest worry is that Europe doesn’t want anymore, or has lost the sense of its origins, it has lost its roots.

“Yet a tree without roots it dies. And Im afraid west will die.

“There are plenty of signs. You see plenty of signs. No more natality.

“You are invaded still by other cultures other peoples, which will progressively dominate you by their numbers and completely change your culture, your convictions, your morality.”

The Cardinal, born in Guinea and studied in France, Jerusalem and Rome, was the youngest bishop in the world at his appointment in 1979 by John Paul II at the age of 34.

In 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him President of the Pontifical Council Cor Unum and created cardinal a few weeks later. He received the title of cardinal-deacon of S. Giovanni Bosco in via Tuscolana.

Cardinal Sarah is also known for his statement that “every nation has a right to distinguish between refugees and economic migrants”.

At a Europa Christi conference in Poland in 2017 he warned of the “logic” of migrant redistribution that “some people want to impose”.

World leaders cannot question the “right of every nation to distinguish between a political or religious refugee” who is forced to flee their own land, and “the economic migrant who wants to change his place of residence” without adapting to the new culture in which he lives.

He told that “Europe has since then been in an ongoing crisis caused by, among others, atheistic ideologies, and is now plunging into nihilism”.

He feels it was a mistake when the European Union decided not to revert to the continent’s Christian roots, instead building its institutions on the free market, equality of individuals and individualist human rights; because all laws should be based on the concept of human dignity, which can only come from God.

“Europe, built on faith in Christ, cut off from its Christian roots, is not in period of quiet apostasy,” the cardinal added.

Masked thugs broke into a French government ministry tonight - leading to the 'emergency evacuation' of government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux during a day of Yellow Vests rioting.

The 41-year-old, who is one of President Emmanuel Macron's most senior lieutenants, was rushed to safety by police during the drama.

Dramatic footage shows how a forklift taken from a nearby construction site was used to smash through the entrance of the building.

'Around fifteen masked people dressed in black broke into Mr Griveaux's office at about 4.30 on Saturday,' said an investigating source.

'His staff had heard the group approaching, and managed to get him to safety, and he was unhurt. Video is being studied to try and identify those involved. There were Yellow Vest protesters in the vicinity.'

All of those involved managed to escape without any immediate arrests, said the source.
