It is my understanding that each lodge gets to decide their own creed, or what rules they go by. I believe Crowley's line of reasoning is what your grandfather may be referring to, although I am speculating. Somewhere in recent history it was decreed that all Masons were welcome in any lodge they visited, and this is how Crowley's belief system spread. He famously stated, "let the whole of the Law be, 'do as thou wilt.'"

I think each lodge is like their own little government, and votes are taken for changes to be made and for positions to be filled, so infiltration is certainly a possibility. I believe, although speculating, that the allure of hedonism and whatever else comes with Crowley's beliefs slowly took over the Masons.

Our founding fathers were Masons, never forget that. They take oaths for a reason, I'm not sure what they are, but I am nearly certain they are not all evil. There is a why to it all and I believe beyond just manipulating society as Bill Cooper taught me. Escape persecution is one thing that comes to mind. The gnostics another.

With that said, it very well may be the Masons that are the ones fighting against disclosure and our freedom as Americans now. I am just a curious researcher / outsider. I think, ultimately, the truth is stranger than fiction.

Thank you for the clarification.

So, each Grand Lodge can vary in beliefs greatly then? I have heard of their reported "infiltration" before. What could have infiltrated the lodges that turned them sour? Communists? Pedos? The jesters get out of control?

I don't know why I thought Crowley was a Mason.

Interesting. I was corrected about Crowley being a Mason, for the record. I am supremely curious about all of these things but have reached somewhat of a point of maximum clarity / confusion about it all. There is so much speculation and disinformation, by design, out about the occult that I have shifted my focus from learning their secrets to applying the useful things I have learned from them.

I highly recommend listening to Manly P Hall lectures on youtube as well as any other occult teaching you come across. These people know their shit about human behavior and ancient teachings. Also Bill Cooper. He will teach you the dark side of it all. If you're curious as to why your Uncle was proud in the first place it is worth learning about in my opinion. Just don't be evil. Decide that now. Never waver from that.

Thanks for sharing.

This is the part of the conversation where I acknowledge your point, and that you may be being honest, but I cannot believe this to be true. I don't have enough information and a lot of what I've come across suggests Freemasonry is a religion.

I have to find this out for myself and I haven't yet. It is a point of contention anywhere I have looked.
