My favorite was the one-armed vet who had just given some relative CPR.
It's not so much "taking offense", is it? If it seemed even SOMEWHAT genuine, I'd definitely say "Sorry that's gonna hurt for a while, man". And the posting of photos of a gal who, frankly, looks like she lived "fast and hard", again and again seems kinda disingenuous. And by "kinda" I actually mean "entirely".
