Thanks for your answer. This makes a lot of sense. As I said, I'm newly saved and I've focused on salvation first. I still have a lot to learn about God's Word and always will.
To say something more relevant to this thread, I agree that Revelation 17:6 points to Rome/Vatican (>>4942176): "And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration." (KJV) You just need to look how hard the Catholic Church worked to prevent common folk having access to the Word of God.
Also I would encourage anyone to research the differences between the King James Bible and whichever other translation they might use. Most verses mean the same thing… but the verses which are different can be shockingly different from what I've come across. The KJ Bible was THE Bible for hundreds of years and now we have hundreds of new translations, as if God let us get it wrong until these new ones popped up. Some of the more obvious fruits of the KJV are the freedom and prosperity of the West, the likes the world has never seen before. Since Genesis 3, Satan has tried to take God's word and slightly change it into something else. All people should be very careful of this. I don't mean to offend anyone but truth is truth. Prove this wrong yourself.
