When they start closing sections of the park off or close it entirely then you need to be worried if you are living in the previous high-ashfall zones from the last eruption (available with a little digging).

 

It would be bad for agriculture - that is why having 1-2 years of edibles stored would be smart. But they need to be edibles you EAT, so you rotate the stock.
