Thank you for clarifying. It is difficult to sift through the various opinions, text, and tonal interpretations without traditional conversational cues. Also, I agree, my bullshit does need work.

Also, you are correct. The rest of the world has problems much more important than a discussion about the shape of the planet. This is true.

With this in mind, however, it does seem very interesting that flat earth is met with such terse and coarse language and attitudes. Why is this, for such a mundane and agreeably unimportant topic?

If there is an area where you feel this "psychoanalyzing" is inaccurate please, point that out. This was merely an observation about a common practice of using FE, flattard, shill, flat earther pejoratively… Not suggesting you are using it this way. Which is why I asked you directly.

If that was the way it came across then that was an error. If you spot other errors please feel inclined to point them out.

*an addendum, I'm not sure if this is the case, but if it is, as someone who has been here since May, and reeeeeeelly like what's happening here, and the direction the country seems to be headed in part because of efforts here, by both Anons and myself, I would find it incredibly disheartening and a reason to reevaluate my focus on this board, where I spend a majority of my day, perusing, contributing to notables, researching, enjoying like-minded banter, etc…, if I were to be KICKED OUT of the board for pointing out flat earth inconsistencies. It should also be noted, that censorship as noted by Q is a huge red flag, as it only shines a light where before there was darkness. To all fellow Anons, it should be obvious that we do not all agree on every topic. There are many lanes of discovery I don't travel, either because of my own limitations, or a patent disinterest, but I do feel sincerely that to censor those who attempt to seek the truth, even when I disagree with their viewpoints cheapens the overall experience. If that were in fact the case.

** Again, this is not an attempt to form an argument for or against the flat earth discussion. The primary concern for the discussion is with the psychology of censorship, as stated perviously. Q has awoken the senses of many. In the spirit of cue, all discussions are important to best understand the powers of control. If this outfit sees otherwise, however, and censorship is promoted here, among all places, then a reconsideration of the truth will inevitably follow. Thank you fellow, Anons. This work that is done here is of the utmost importance. Here's to hoping it continues in earnest as the protestations suggest!

Is what fake?

Is your tone meant to be dismissive? Sometimes it's hard to tell with text.

The video attached is an example of Neil Degrasse Tyson discussion the inability to see the curvature of the earth from this height. According to Neil, it's not possible to see the curvature of the planet from 24 miles above the earth. He goes on to state that the earth looks curved because of the fisheye lens used in this video.

I've added this link to the full video, here: to show that it's not taken out of context or manipulated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FMGTVCIDbU

The discussion takes place around 38:25 to 39:22.

*It wasn't intentional to use a flat earth proof video, only necessary to find a shortened version within the allotted time limits.

Thank you, fellow Anon, this is a great topic of discussion.

Do you know cameras and camera lenses well? I've found over the years, many do not truly understand lens distortions and that impact on the visual medium. Maybe you will agree?
