Stop and look at things from their perspective.
A lot of these people on the left are women who have been told for a long time that men basically want them barefoot and pregnant (this is a common insult tossed around among women that somehow is passed off as a male expectation). Contraceptives are not perfect, and women have also been encouraged to believe that they should be able to pursue sex on whims and thrills.
It's the logical outcome of what has been set in motion. They have built up the perception that pregnancy is being used as a means of control over women by men, that it is something they need to be able to escape from, etc.
This is what they have been fed their whole life, had reinforced by media and school - even what has been created into a 'science' by academics.
So, yes, it is about them. And, frankly, the discussion isn't about the child on either side that is arguing. The foster care systems are bursting at the seams, so I don't want to hear "I would adopt if…" - they are out there. Go get one.
Everyone is leveraging the life of a child to suit their own biases and standpoint. They are completely overlooking the fact that men and women, together, created that child and now we are having an argument over the woman.
There is something very, very wrong when a woman begins seriously considering abortion. Consider this - a woman would rather kill her child than bring it into the world.
This idea that "they don't see it as murder" or "these horrible people who do this" completely overlook the fact that these women are so terrified by the prospect of being mothers that they would rather choose murder.
The abortion epidemic is the canary in the coal mine for society.
