Don't fall for "pump and dumps"…instead buy real money with your paper currency. Silver and gold are where it's at and will be the basis of the next honest monetary system. Go to a local bullion dealer and buy some 1 oz silver rounds or bar (try to pay $2 or less over current spot price).

Stick to silver until the silver:gold ratio closes a bit. Mining ratio is about 10:1 and historical is around 16:1 (Romans used 16:1 when strong).The current silver:gold ratio is about 82:1. Therefore, although both metals will likely rise in purchasing power, silver is cheaper relative to gold.
