I went through the process and saw the exec speak on it. So I cant get the speech copy, it's on AT&T internal. Got to the layoff.com and look up AT&T. It's difficult to directly sauce it as a continuation.

this is about union jobs. The reality is AT&THAS jobs, just not in the USA. They are being offshored and contracted out.

While we don’t know the finer details of the AT&T layoffs, we did know they were coming. A report earlier this month said as much and included information from an internal memo sent out to managers.
(as an insider they know this is going on..and has been going on since 2014) They dont care who they fire they want the US workers gone.
They were laying off starting in 2014.
