BU isn't a bad school. So this chick is an economics major at a good school in Boston where there is a good network among professors. There's a reason she had to bartend. One of my kids did some stuff at BU (not academic and not as a BU student) and it opened all kinds of doors because all the faculty among the various school talk to each other and pass around what each other and their business, sports, etc contacts need.
