1. There was no mention of the exercise before it happened. A single press release was put out early the same day with few details. The address or location was never disclosed. It also seems like a pretty risky "training" exercise.

As for what unit the special operators hitching a ride of the Little Bird belong to, we can't say for certain. But their quad-tube night-vision goggles, HK416 rifles, and attire seem to point to SEAL Team Six, also known as DEVGRU. Being the Navy's top counter-terrorism unit, and considering the port setting that last night's drills took place in, this really wouldn't be much of a surprise.

It's also worth noting that the Little Bird appears to have some sort of nose art right above their FLIR sensor, although we can't make out exactly what it depicts.

The Night Stalkers and special operators are slated to continue with their training around the Los Angeles area through Saturday, and considering the amazing visuals that have come out of the exercise so far, this probably won't be our last report on the topic!

I've been analyzing this thing for a couple of days and I'm seeing a LOT of sloppiness on some anons parts. Former milfag here, served in Air Cav and Air Assault units mostly during the 80s - 90s.

First of all, watching the video I can clearly see that the "little birds" are not MH-6's, but rather UH-72's. I seriously doubt those were 160th SOAR birds. Possibly CA ARNG, but no way to tell for sure from the videos I've seen. Personnel observed boarding the UH-72s appeared to be the security element based on weapons and equipment. The full sized K Pots are the biggest indicator. Could be Rangers, or could be straight leg infantry or even MP's. Better video needed.

The Blackhawks were MH-60's and appear to be 160th SOAR. The refueling boom differentiates the MH-60 from the UH-60 for recognition purposes. These landed one at a time, and picked up what looked to me like Special Operators. One assault team, which boarded the first bird to land, and an exploitation team which boarded the others with the package. Explosive breaches were made, and material retrieved, but no Tangos captured, unless they were dressed to blend in to the exploitation team, but I didn't see anyone being "escorted" so that seems doubtful.

Based on what I saw I'm left with two possibilities. This was either a live op to seize intel/evidence from the location with no friendly casualties, or it really was a training op. I'm leaning towards training op, based on the movement and body language displayed.

My last thought for now is this; what if it was a training op being used as a psyop? A raid at that particular location would illicit movement or chatter on the part of anyone who thought they were being targeted. Planefags have established there were more recon/surveillance aircraft aloft than any other type at the time. When the lights come on…the roaches scatter.

Just thoughts and observations. Lawfags should watch the SoCal Fed courts for arraignment of anyone connected to addresses in the extraction zone.

Nope. It was from a news helicopter that flew parallel to the ones that landed on Wilshire Blvd. It showed the military getting onto the little birds and there was a Black Hawk landed by the Wells Fargo building.

You would never send an expensive highly trained units into an uncontrolled training environment in a high visibility environment like Wilshire blvd.
