The Secret Matrix of Psalm 119: Studying Tehillim: Chapter 119 (overview)

This chapter consists of 22 stanzas—corresponding to the 22 letters of the Hebrew aleph-bet. Each stanza is comprised of eight verses, all beginning with same letter, hence it’s known as the psalm of eight-faces. This introductory class provides an overview highlighting the inner character of chapter 119. We examine the key words repeatedly employed throughout this psalm, and the profound meaning embedded in the patter of eight.

22 Chapters in Revelation

Number 22 is one of the keys to unlocking the mystery of the Bible. The Bible contains 66 books, 3 times 22. There are 22 chapter 22's in the Bible and this is the ONLY chapter number in the Bible with same number of chapters.

The Number 22 is the number of Revelation. It unites the whole Bible and reflects the 22 foundation Hebrew letters. The Hebrew letters are often arranged in a circle with the last 22nd letter sitting at the top like a cornerstone. This last letter is called Tav and will be discussed later.

Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm and sits close to the centre of the bible. This Psalm has 22 verses of eight lines. The first word of each line of the 22 verses start with each of the 22 Hebrew letters, from Aleph through to Tav. This Psalm is all about praising, respecting and understanding God's word. The word of God is a lamp to the world as stated in the well know verse of the Psalm. "Thy Work is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path", Psalm 119:105.

There are a number of other acrostic verses hidden in the Bible such as the Book of Lamentations.

The Number 22 reflects the 22 foundation Hebrew letters. In some way it seems that God has created the universe through the combination of these letters. These 22 letters are "The Word". When God says "I am the Alpha and the Omega", he is also saying "I am the Aleph and the Tav".

Alpha and Omega.

Yes, I'm beginning to agree, especially to the way the shill respond to you pointing out that fact..

"I recently met with Jacob Ostreicher, the Orthodox Jewish businessman who was falsely accused of drug trafficking and left for dead in a Bolivian hell-hole. He was saved by actor Sean Penn, who traveled to Bolivia, intervened with President Eva Morales and whisked Ostreicher out of prison in circumstances that remain mysterious.

In recognition of his heroism, our organization, This World: The Values Network, is honoring Sean, along with my former Oxford students Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey and Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer, as well as anti-genocide campaigner John Prendergast, as this year’s Champions of Jewish Values at our annual gala dinner in New York City on May 18.

Some were curious. Sean Penn? Champion of Jewish values? But what did all these complainers do to save Ostreicher? Penn risked his own safety to save a complete stranger, and one of Judaism’s greatest mitzvot is releasing those held unjustly. And this is aside from the tens of thousands of lives that Sean has saved in Haiti.

The Jewish community is typically embarrassed by our prison population. We want Jewish names displayed on buildings at Harvard, not on wanted posters. Only a few humanitarian organizations, like Chabad’s Aleph Institute, give a damn about Jews who are incarcerated.

And here you have the reason why inmates like Jonathan Pollard and Sholom Rubashkin, amid their inexcusable crimes, can be given highly prejudicial and outrageously lengthy sentences. The Jewish community, embarrassed at Jewish wrongdoing, rarely raises its voice in unified protest against punishments which, in both cases, are widely viewed by legal experts as discriminatory and excessive."
