>>5093468 Watching Whitaker yesterday, I was strongly reminded of this image. Lot of pressure out there on the gridiron, and a true player is forced to use the short time between plays to restore balance while regulating the breath. This extends to the mind, which of necessity is focusing on what he will be doing during the next play, with many people he cares about watching his performance closely.

That serious mental pressure, again & again with no clear end in sight, helped make Whitaker what he is today. Could see him calmly gather himself between questioners as he prepared for the next play. He was outstanding in the face of concentrated evil.

Anon LB made the point that if her law clerks are doing proxy votes on her behalf, this amounts to a constitutional violation where someone is acting in the role of a Supreme Court Justice without being confirmed by the Senate.
