Makes sense, anon. I think our propensity to vigorously prosecute non-violent crimes (and, indeed, to criminalize activity which produces no victims) has led us to this point. Laws and prosecution do not make a society moral…to solve our problems we must look to the breakdown of the family, the devaluing of life, increased government dependency, demoted status of faith, and the failure of educational institutions (which must be removed from government control) as the real culprits
