Smollett would have sat quietly on the sidelines and watched 2 innocent white men get convicted and sent to prison for life sentences as racial terrorists. Anything less than a life sentence without parole for Smollett is a travesty of justice.
The writer does not say victimless they say non-violent. I think the writer understands crimes have victims. The point being made is crimes should have a definitive punishment not a lifelong label and unending consequences. I would agree with that point, the judge should sentence the criminal and when the sentence is served the criminal is restored to full rights of citizenship.
