I'm on the ground in Brussels. Not Belgian, but here on the ground either way. Point is, I saw a MASSIVE police presence today in Brussels. It was in coordination with the military, but that is, a little par for the course here, so don't make a big hoot about it. But as far as facts go, the military was involved.
I knew instantly, without knowing it was linked to the Yellow vests. Come home tonight, to check out the news, and see the news is saying 250 yellow vests in Brussels. See attached photo and take my word for it if you don't read French.
I was not in an area to SEE with yellow vests, but I was in the same hood. I was in an area to see the mobilisation of police. I don't know their protocols for crowd control, but the amount of vehicles and size of the police force I saw passing back and forth this afternoon indicates a number much larger than 250 yellow vests.
