Trump threatens to deport Venezuelan military officials’ families that have fled to Miami

The Trump administration is threatening to deport the family members of Venezuelan military officials — including some who live in the Miami area — who don’t disobey the Maduro government and allow aid from the United States to enter Venezuela.

A senior administration official told a small group of reporters Friday that the administration has collected data on military leaders who have family that have left Venezuela. They are living in Miami, the Caribbean and across the hemisphere. According to the administration, they’re living lives of luxury while their countrymen suffer.

We will no longer tolerate that double standard,” a senior administration official said. “They face a situation where they and their families will have to go back to Venezuela… They will have to go back and live in the misery that they’re imposing.”

The official did not give the names of the military officers who have families in the U.S., or how many family members would be affected.

Android banking malware distributed with fake Google reCAPTCHA

Sucuri’s cybersecurity researchers have identified a highly sophisticated phishing campaign that is specifically targeting online banking users.

The attack, for now, has been directed against a Polish bank in which attackers are exploiting Google reCAPTCHA systems as well as panic-eliciting tactics to lure victims into clicking on infected, malicious links that are already embedded in scam emails.

The objective behind this campaign is the same as it often is in similar other campaigns- to steal user credentials. Sucuri researchers identified that the campaign is utilizing not only panic/bait techniques but also impersonation both in an email so that the recipient ends up downloading the malware.

British PM May seeks more time: promises vote on Brexit deal by March 12

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Theresa May promised on Sunday to offer lawmakers a vote on her Brexit deal by March 12, the latest delay in her attempt to win approval for a plan to ensure Britain's orderly departure from the European Union.

As the United Kingdom's labyrinthine Brexit crisis goes down to the wire, May is making a last-ditch effort to get changes to the divorce package but lawmakers may try on Wednesday to grab control of Brexit in a series of parliamentary votes.

After the British parliament voted 432-202 against her deal in January, the worst defeat in modern British history, May promised to seek changes that would allow lawmakers to ratify the agreement and thus avoid a potentially disorderly exit.

On her way to Egypt for an EU-Arab League summit, May said further meetings in Brussels on securing changes to the deal ruled out a so-called meaningful vote in parliament this week.

Instead, the new 'high noon' for Brexit, May and the British parliament will be on March 12, just 17 days before Britain is due to leave on March 29.

"We won't bring a meaningful vote to parliament this week but we will ensure that that happens by the 12th of March," May told reporters on board her plane.

America Rescues Its Arrested Weapons Runners After Arrest in Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI — Earlier this week, MintPress News reported that a number of suspected American mercenaries were arrested transporting a cache of assault rifles and other weapons in the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince amid an uprising against government corruption.

As MintPress noted at the time, many Haitians believed that the men were part of a team of mercenaries hired by Haitian President Joven Moise. One of the men, Chris Osman, wrote on Instagram on Friday that they were operating “for people who are directly connected to the current President”

Osman was among five Americans, two Serbs, and one Haitian arrested by Haitian authorities. He is a former Navy SEAL and another one of the men, Christopher McKinley, was also a SEAL. Kent Kroeker, another one of those arrested, was a Marine Corps pilot, and Talon Burton is a former U.S. Army military policeman, State Department security guard, and Blackwater operative.

The remaining American, Dustin Porte, is a private security contractor and president of an electrical contracting company called Patriot Group Services, which has a $16,000 subcontract with the Department of Homeland Security.

Macron wants to ban ‘hate speech’ convicts from all social media for life

It is no longer acceptable today that platforms that have the means to help justice and the police to identify the person who has committed an offense online take several weeks, even months, before giving the information,” Mahjoubi said.

The new proposal would mark a significant shift to the current punishments of fines and prison sentences. Some have reacted to the proposal with criticism including French journalist Gabriel Robin who said the proposal could lead to anti-establishment voices, such as mass migration critic Eric Zemmour being excluded from social media.

“Never, I repeat, ever has a liberal government taken so many repressive measures”, he said.

Macron and other globalist politicians have continued to push for increasing laws and regulations to combat hate speech and so-called fake news online.
