For those who remember the 80's, 90's when the future was flying cars, perpetual energy, etc…

I believe there is technology out there. (Patent Office) that shows we (us) should be 20-30 years ahead.

I also believe that most of the technology can't be used because of "Patent Lock" (I think that is what it is called).

2 theories on this one is China can't use it because it would be stealing, second is, it is too far advanced to put it to market. that would be a giant leap..when we need baby steps.

Around 1961 IBM rolled out the rollerball on the electric typewriter…but they had millions of them in storage for years waiting the right time…

What I mean is IBM at that time was the TOP SELLING TYPEWRITER company…so why would they introduce something into the market that would take away their market share…

So they held on to it until the right time…hence holding back future…

I've seen PLANS for Perpetual Energy, Flying cars, etc…

But what would happen to the markets, lets say water powered energy (cars)…gas companies would go broke and everything involved in the gas and oil making process markets would fail.

What would happen to the markets, lets say flying cars…Auto companies would have to modify engines or create new craft to handle it…in doing so..tire companies would fail…markets would fall…

If a company's making $10 million a day…by dumping lethal toxic waste into the ocean…it's only good business to continue doing this.

They influence the media so that they can control our minds. They've made it a crime to speak out for ourselves.

If we do so, we're called conspiracy nuts and we're laughed at.

We're angry because we're all being chemically and genetically damaged…and we don't even realize it.

Unfortunately, this will affect our children. We go to work each day and right under our noses…we see our car and the car in front of us spewing noxious, poisonous gases…that are all accumulative poisons.These poisons kill us slowly, even when we see no effect.

How many of us would've believed if we were told 20 years ago…that on a certain day we wouldn't be able to see 50 feet in front of us…

that we wouldn't be able to take a deep breath…because the air would be a mass of poisonous gas.

That we couldn't drink out of our faucets…that we'd have to buy water out of bottles.

Our most common and God-given rights have been taken away from us.

Unfortunately…the reality of our lives is so grim that nobody wants to hear it.

I've been asked what we can do. I think we need a responsible body of people that can actually represent us…rather than big business.

This body of people must not allow…the introduction of anything into our environment that is not biodegradable…or able to be chemically neutralized

Finally, as long as there's profit to be made from the polluting of our earth…companies and individuals will continue to do what they want.

We have to force these companies to operate safely and responsibly…with all our best interests in mind, so that when they don't…

we can take back our resources and our hearts and our minds, and do what's right.

Years ago I read about a Wisconsin man who found a dead deer on the road, took it home, ate it, and then mounted the head as a trophy. Stone is charged with false statements, obstruction based on those false statements, and witness tampering.

Despite the breathless news coverage, the indictment is underwhelming and far from what many predicted. As for the media, it seems to be only counting heads of Trump associates indicted, as opposed to what they were actually charged with. The media has long described Stone as the possible Trump campaign conduit to WikiLeaks and the Russians, citing his presumed communications with Julian Assange and his advance knowledge of the Democratic Party and Clinton campaign email hacks.

Yet, none of that was confirmed or even suggested in the indictment. There was no charge of collusion. No hint of meetings or arrangements with Assange. Not even a charge as an unregistered foreign agent of the Russians. Just collateral crimes with nary a mention of collusion and a defendant who alternatively presents himself as the tragically comic and the comically tragic figure mired in the special counsel investigation.

Under Editor-in-Chief Noah Shachtman, The Daily Beast has aggressively joined the anti-Trump “Scoop” wars, sometimes with actual reporting, other times in Gawker-style clickbait, leading Recode to ask last November, Is the Daily Beast the new Gawker?

“I think that we like to embrace the gonzo and that Gawker was an inheritor of that gonzo spirit that didn’t originate with Gawker, but that they carried that mantle for a little while,” Shachtman said. “We really like the gonzo. We really like the weird. We really like the fun and we don’t give that many fucks. We don’t give zero fucks, but we don’t give that many fucks.”

If Gawker-style is The Daily Beast’s goal, they certainly accomplished it with an article about a pastry chef at Mar-a-Lago who posted QAnon theories on her personal social media. QAnon is a crazy conspiracy theory that has made its way around social media.

The pastry chef story started at a newsletter published by someone whose livelihood is monitoring Trump’s Washington, D.C. hotel. Had the story just been in the newsletter, it would not have spread very far. But The Daily Beast author Will Sommer decided to promote it to The Daily Beast’s large platform.

The story now has been picked up by Rolling Stone and shared by an MSNBC producer with half a million followers.

If the pastry chef were involved in the Trump campaign or other politics, perhaps there would be some news value. But there is nothing in the newsletter or The Daily Beast article that indicates that the pastry chef played such a role. She’s not a political staffer or involved in policy, and there’s nothing in the coverage to indicate she aspires to those goals.

Nothing in the story indicates she used her politics to harass or intimidate co-workers or subordinates. She simply posted her political conspiracy theories on her personal social media accounts, which is a lot less than hundreds of blue-check-mark journalists and anti-Trump nutters do every day on Twitter with their Russia collusion conspiracy theories.

The ONLY reason she has been singled out by The Daily Beast is that she works at a Trump property. That’s it. It’s not about the pastry chef, it’s about media hate of Trump and an eagerness to take down anyone associated, even remotely, with Trump.

Yet that pastry chef’s name, image and work details now are exposed to millions of readers of The Daily Beast for one reason only — she works at a Trump property.

What’s next for The Daily Beast? A deep dive into the personal political views of Mar-a-Lago groundskeepers, bellhops and janitors?

How about we leave low-level employees, who have not joined the political battle, alone?

The Supreme Court delivered a historic ruling on Wednesday and slammed the U.S. Constitution down hard on corrupt states.

The nation’s highest court delivered a 9-0 ruling that states must adhere to the Constitution’s ban on excessive fines, meaning states will be limited in their ability to impose certain fees and seize property.

The ruling is a major blow to corrupt states who were imposing daunting fines on people and seizing their property after an arrest.

In delivering the opinion of the court, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said the Eighth Amendment guards against abuses of the government’s punitive or criminal law-enforcement authority, and that it extends to fines.

“This safeguard, we hold, is ‘fundamental to our scheme of ordered liberty,’ with ‘deep roots in our history and tradition,’” she said, quoting Supreme Court precedent.

Ginsburg, who returned to the bench for oral arguments Tuesday for the first time since undergoing surgery in December, was joined in the ruling by Chief Justice John Roberts, Justices Stephen Breyer, Samuel Alito, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. Justice Clarence Thomas filed an opinion concurring in the judgment.

The case centered on Tyson Timbs, who pleaded guilty in Indiana state court to dealing in a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit theft. When Timbs was arrested, police seized the Land Rover he had purchased, for $42,000, from an insurance policy he received when his father died.

The state then brought a civil forfeiture suit against Timbs for his vehicle because it had been used to transport heroin. The trial court denied the state’s forfeiture request.

Since Timbs had recently purchased the vehicle for more than four times the maximum $10,000 monetary fine he can be charged for the drug conviction, the court said the forfeiture violated the Eighth Amendment.

The Indiana Supreme Court ultimately reversed that ruling, holding that the Excessive Fines Clause constrains only federal action and is inapplicable to state impositions.

The high court vacated that ruling Wednesday.

The Supreme Court has been on a roll lately.

Last month, the High Court delivered a massive 5-4 ruling in favor of President Donald Trump’s transgender military ban.

On Tuesday, the Justices on the High Court didn’t rule on the merits of the case, but held that the ban will go into effect while the lower courts work through appeals.

The four liberal Justices objected to the Trump administrations policy that banned most transgender people from serving in the U.S. military.

The policy was first announced by Trump in July 2017 and later confirmed by then-Secretary of Defense James Mattis last year.

While the policy is in effect, it blocks individuals who have been diagnosed with a condition known as gender dysphoria from serving.

The policy also indicates that individuals without the condition can serve in the armed forces, but only if they do so according to their biological sex.

A WOMAN was dangled from a Glasgow tower block by her hair seconds before she plunged to her death.

One horrified local told the Daily Record: “I could hear hysterical screaming and I went to the window and I saw the woman being held by the hair.

“She didn’t fall right away, because she was trying desperately to hold on to the window sill and she was scratching at the wall with her feet, trying to get a hold to keep herself from falling.

"It was terrible to watch.”

A man was seen running away from the block shortly after the tragedy on Monday at about 5.15.pm but was held down by witnesses until the police arrived.

The eyewitness who took the harrowing photo helped tackle the man who tried to run away from the scene.

He claimed the man tried to get away but he fell over a wall and was grabbed by a concierge and few women.

The unidentified man was held down until police arrived.

Women who were at the scene spoke the same language as the man who was "chanting", "praying" and "looked out of it", the eyewitness said.

It is not clear if the man is related or known to Alem.

Alem, an Eritrean national, was described as a “wonderful person” by friends at her local Eritrean Orthodox Church.

Sucuri’s cybersecurity researchers have identified a highly sophisticated phishing campaign that is specifically targeting online banking users.

The attack, for now, has been directed against a Polish bank in which attackers are exploiting Google reCAPTCHA systems as well as panic-eliciting tactics to lure victims into clicking on infected, malicious links that are already embedded in scam emails.

The objective behind this campaign is the same as it often is in similar other campaigns- to steal user credentials. Sucuri researchers identified that the campaign is utilizing not only panic/bait techniques but also impersonation both in an email so that the recipient ends up downloading the malware.
