I too see other meanings
booms at different levels, different times
repeated thunder moving into the distance
multiple targets, multiple hits
etc…

But we hear the BOOM & the echos in the MSM
I'm not sure we will ever see the great majority of these lightning strikes, majority of action hidden from view for strategic reasons but the changes they create, the echos, the occasional boom, these we do notice

Hivemind is a poor word for what happens here
I think it is more akin to what happens when a group truly discovers that there is no I in team
We are a team of individuals, each with different talents and experiences all bouncing ideas & information off of each other and refining the results. A massive brainstorming session in a free form anonymous forum on a scale never before seen by humankind all working towards the same goal
