>Can anyone carefully explain to me how Trump's punitive tariffs on aluminum and steel are going to help the US economy?
Well…. don't you need Caterpillars to mine aluminum and steel? Made in the USA
Lots of other things that will be made here in the United States to support the industry.
>Hell, won't this push up the prices like hell for us, even concluding in losses of jobs?
Nope…. it'll allow domestic aluminum and steel producers to wind up their businesses again. We already have nearly all of the infrastructure that we need, now they just need support from the US Government in the form of tariffs. We need to stop buying everything from overseas.
>Seriously, I believe in Trump, but this will not end well.
You just don't understand what is actually going on in the greater context of the end-times prophecies. United States is the "safe place" in the end-times. We can't be the "safe place" if we don't have domestic industries producing everything that we need. We're ramping up our oil production, ramping up raw material production here in the United States, and pretty soon we'll be bringing our electronics production back from overseas as well.
Like another anon said, we can't be subject to international blackmail.
THINK… China, in 10 years has built more stuff than the United States built in 100. If the Chinese can do it why can't the United States?
