I'm not quite ready to declare DARPA some kind of enemy
"There are more good than bad"– people.
This mapping thing is cool.
Remember this, from a couple days ago?

Anybody else who's visited Switzerland can attest: It is a FACT that the Alps are riddled with caves.
Have seen and touched a door that go into the sides of those mountains.
The Swiss had a gunnery system built into those mountains during WWII.
No doubt Swiss bankers make use of them, too.
Those things ought to be properly marked and mapped.
I have ZERO doubt that the US has massive manmade tunnels under it, never mind the naturally-occurring caves.
Think of the benefits of having accurate undersea maps. This planet has more water than land.
The wannabe archaeologist in me is drooling at the prospect of satellite and LIDAR mapping of ancient structures now buried under jungles and desert sands.
Endless, endless possibilities!
If anything, DARPA needs more staff.
