A full tank of gasoline has very little vapor.

Not wrong at all. And yes I know they don't use unleaded-87.
The reason they burn off fuel is so that there's next to nothing that can be vaporized if it crashes.
A normal flight has 30+m of reserve fuel in the tank.
Hence why you don't want to crash on landing.
Not questioning whether it's legit or not; just pointing out that just because there is no scorched earth or charring doesn't mean it wasn't a crash.
Whole thing looks staged to me regardless of (lack of) charring.
