Last week, the 330-room Standard High Line at 848 Washington Street in the Meatpacking District sold to Standard International for more than $400 million, or about $1.2 million a room, according to Andre Balazs, the hotel's creator and an owner.

Andre Balazs accused of groping Jason Bateman's wife at Chiltern Firehouse
The famed hotelier Andre Balazs has been accused by the wife of actor Jason Bateman of groping her inside the Chiltern Firehouse.
Amanda Anka, the 48-year-old actress wife of Bateman, was with her husband at the London celebrity hotspot owned by Balazs in November 2014.
The venue was hosting an after-party following the premiere of Bateman’s film, Horrible Bosses 2. The film’s other stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day, were also there with their guests.
