"Pray for the victims" I don't know what to think about these images except to imagine that this is photography of young people who look as though they've been raised in those inhuman (and inhumane) Russian orphanages, full of children with major developmental and psychiatric issues (some innate, some induced), people who were trafficked out, tortured, dressed up and posed in this supposed "art", and who probably are not with us any more. After Multiple Reports About New Zealanders Turning In Guns, Guess How Many Actually Did It?

Following reports that a flood of New Zealand gun owners have been voluntarily surrending their firearms in the wake of last Friday's Christchurch mosque attack that left 50 dead, the numbers are in on how many Kiwis actually handed over their weapons.

Out of an estimated 1.2 million registered guns, New Zealand police report that as of Tuesday night, 37 firearms have been surrendered nationwide, according to BuzzFeed.

No accounting was provided of how many people owned those guns, the types of firearms, or where they were surrendered.

The reports of citizens disarming themselves come after a Monday announcement by Prime minister Jacinda Ardern that several "in principle decisions" on gun control have been made by Cabinet ministers, and has praised residents who have surrendered their guns to police.

So far, we know of four people who have; Green Party member John Hart and longtime gun owner "@SirWB" - who each turned in a rifle, a grandmother who goes by the Twitter handle "@FeyHag" who said she requested for her family's guns to be handed in for destruction, and former New Zealand Army soldier Pete Breidahl - who said he warned local police of extremists at a local rifle club where he said he suspected the shooter was a member.

"All I want is to go back to my horses, say goodbye to firearms and the bullshit shooting community and its drama and let the police and government sort this one out," wrote Breidahl in a Facebook post. "I don’t NEED, want or care about guns. I can happily live my life without them."

Most reports cited three tweets, including that of John Hart, a farmer and Green Party member from Wairarapa, who told BuzzFeed News he surrendered his semiautomatic rifle two days after the attack.

He tweeted a photo of the form he signed to hand over his rifle to the police to be destroyed, saying, "We don't need these in our country. We have to make sure it's #NeverAgain." -BuzzFeed

Ardern asked residents to surrender their weapons on Monday.

"To make our community safer, the time to act is now," she said. "I want to remind people, you can surrender your gun to the police at any time. In fact I have seen reports that people are in fact already doing this. I applaud that effort, and if you are thinking about surrendering your weapon, I would encourage you to do so."

Reps. Meadows and Jordan Send Letter to AG Bill Barr Requesting Update on DOJ’s Investigation and Prosecution of Andrew McCabe

Republican Congressmen Mark Meadows (NC) and Jim Jordan (OH) sent a letter to Attorney General Bill Barr on Wednesday asking for an update on the DOJ’s investigation and prosecution of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Meadows and Jordan, who are both members of the House Oversight Committee, requested an update from AG Bill Barr stating that the Inspector General referred McCabe’s lack of candor to the US Attorney in DC almost a year ago, yet he still has not been indicted.

“McCabe’s pattern of lies to the FBI and OIG officials was particularly troublesome because they were intended to cover up media leaks that would benefit McCabe personally and professionally,” the GOP lawmakers wrote.

“Especially in context of other outrageous conduct by senior FBI officials — including former Director James Comey, former FBI assistant general counsel Lisa Page — public transparency about the McCabe referral is vital to restoring the FBI’s integrity.”

Andrew McCabe leaked confidential investigation details and information to the media to “advance his personal interests” then lied about to the Inspector General.

The Inspector General released a scathing report on McCabe last April stating he “lacked candor” following his illegal media leaks.

“McCabe disclosed confidential investigative details to a media outlet ‘to advance his personal interest at the expense of Department leadership.’ Specifically, to rebut what he believed to be an incredibly damaging narrative about himself, McCabe directed [Lisa] Page and another FBI employee to reveal information related to the FBI’s ongoing investigation of the Clinton Foundation investigation,” the GOP lawmakers wrote, adding, “By authorizing the leak, McCabe confirmed the existence of an active FBI investigation in violation of the Departmental policies.”

Meadows and Jordan then say that when confronted whether he was the source of the leak, McCabe “concealed his conduct by lying to Comey and lied under oath” to other DOJ and OIG investigators which resulted in his termination.

McCabe was then criminally referred to the US Attorney in DC and a grand jury was impaneled to investigate him.

Andrew McCabe was also a part of the coup to remove President Trump from office and opened two inquiries into Trump shortly after the President fired Comey as FBI Director — McCabe opened the two inquiries as revenge for Trump’s firing of Comey, however he claims he was afraid Trump was obstructing justice and acting as a foreign agent on behalf of Russia, even though there was zero evidence to support his outrageous claims.

Carpetbagging ‘Crony Capitalism’ in Ukraine. November 13, 2015

Exclusive: Ukraine’s Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko and other key officials were given overnight Ukrainian citizenship — with the law requiring them to renounce their old allegiances — but the American-born Jaresko has balked at that mandate, raising questions about her true motives, reports Robert Parry.

Last December, before being named Ukraine’s Finance Minister, American-born Natalie Jaresko accepted Ukrainian citizenship as a prerequisite for getting the job, but in almost one year since she has not renounced her U.S. citizenship, according to U.S. records and a Ukrainian official.

The Ukrainian Constitution allows for only “single citizenship,” meaning that a foreigner who is granted Ukrainian citizenship must terminate his or her previous citizenship and must submit a document attesting to that renunciation “within two years from the date of granting of Ukrainian citizenship,” said Mariia Budiakova, press secretary of the Ukraine Embassy in Washington

The U.S. government publishes quarterly the names of Americans who have renounced their U.S. citizenship and those names — printed in the Federal Register since last December — do not include Jaresko, who has chosen to remain a U.S. citizen, a fact confirmed by Budiakova.

Jaresko appears to be exploiting the two-year period for submitting proof of renouncing her prior citizenship so she can hold her powerful Ukrainian position for two years with the option of then dropping her Ukrainian citizenship and keeping her U.S. citizenship.

But that manipulation of the process creates the appearance of a carpetbagger with dual loyalties and reinforces the image, highlighted by Russian media, of a Ukrainian government being run behind the scenes by the United States and other outsiders.

There’s also the possibility that Jaresko is exploiting this opportunity to learn all she can about the inner workings of the Ukrainian government to position herself to quit her post after two years, drop her temporary Ukrainian citizenship, and become a well-paid consultant with valuable contacts inside Ukraine’s Finance Ministry.

Such opportunism would fit with Jaresko’s history. Though hailed as the face of Ukrainian “reform,” Jaresko has long used her official connections to enrich herself, an inconvenient truth that undercuts the U.S. government’s desired image for the regime in Kiev as committed to the fight against corruption.

Prior to her appointment as Finance Minister, Jaresko, a former U.S. diplomat, headed the U.S.-taxpayer-financed Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF), created in the 1990s to help jump-start an investment economy for Ukraine and Moldova. WNISEF was overseen by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

WNISEF officials were limited to $150,000 in compensation a year, but Jaresko maneuvered to exceed that total, ultimately collecting more than $2 million a year by shifting management of WNISEF to her own private company, Horizon Capital, and arranging to get lucrative bonuses when selling off investments, even as the overall WNISEF fund was losing money, according to official records.

For instance, Jaresko collected $1.77 million in bonuses in 2013, according to WNISEF’s latest available filing with the Internal Revenue Service. In her financial disclosure forms with the Ukrainian government, she reported earning $2.66 million in 2013 and $2.05 million in 2014, thus amassing a sizeable personal fortune while investing U.S. taxpayers’ money supposedly to benefit the Ukrainian people.

Meanwhile, WNISEF continued to hemorrhage money, shrinking from its original $150 million to $89.8 million in the 2013 tax year, according to the IRS filing. WNISEF reported that the bonuses to Jaresko and other corporate officers were based on profitable exits from some investments even if the overall fund was losing money. Hailed as ‘Reformer’

Still, Jaresko and other foreigners who were brought in to fill key positions in the current Ukrainian regime were described as “technocrats” whose only interest was to bring good government to Ukraine, a country long saddled with institutionalized corruption. Jaresko was hailed as a Ukrainian “reformer” who in the words of New York Times’ columnist Thomas L. Friedman “shares our values.”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the government of his US counterpart Donald Trump of stealing $5 billion from the South American country, saying these funds were allotted for the manufacturing of medicines.

"The government of US president Donald Trump stole from us $5 billion allocated for medicines and the purchase of main substances for the production of medicines in Venezuela and their deliveries to hospital networks, pharmacies and ambulance network," Maduro said during an event devoted to the relaunch of a Venezuelan national program to develop the pharmaceutical industry.

The president said Trump was responsible for "the most criminal measure" against Venezuelan people in order to subsequently say that the US authorities were ready to provide humanitarian assistance to the South American country.

Since January, Venezuela has been facing a political crisis. On January 5, lawmaker Juan Guaido was elected the head of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, which all other government branches have been refusing to recognize since 2016.

On January 23, two days after the Venezuelan Supreme Court annulled his election, Guaido declared himself the country's "interim president." Maduro, who was sworn in for his second presidential term on January 10 after winning the May election, which part of the opposition boycotted, qualified Guaido's move as an attempt to stage a coup orchestrated by Washington.

The United States immediately recognized Guaido, after which some 50 other countries, including Colombia, followed suit. Russia, China, Cuba, Bolivia and a number of other states have, in the meantime, voiced their support for the legitimate government of Maduro. Mexico and Uruguay have refused to recognize Guaido, declaring themselves neutral and promoting crisis settlement via dialogue.

Moreover, the United States blocked Venezuela’s oil assets worth $7 billion.

Washington also sought to bring what it called humanitarian aid to Venezuela with Guaido’s help. However, forces supporting Maduro prevented the cargo from crossing into Venezuela, while the president called the operation a plot to overthrow the government.

Exhausted but elated, Paul and Rachel Chandler will return home today after being freed in return for a secret £625,000 ransom.

The British yacht couple’s 388-day ordeal in the hands of Somali pirates ended yesterday when the second instalment of the sum was paid.

A delighted Mrs Chandler, 57, summed up their delight, declaring: ‘We are happy to be alive, happy to be free and desperate to see our family.’ And her 60-year-old husband said that ‘ideally’ he would like to go back to sea soon.
