After Multiple Reports About New Zealanders Turning In Guns, Guess How Many Actually Did It?

Following reports that a flood of New Zealand gun owners have been voluntarily surrending their firearms in the wake of last Friday's Christchurch mosque attack that left 50 dead, the numbers are in on how many Kiwis actually handed over their weapons.

Out of an estimated 1.2 million registered guns, New Zealand police report that as of Tuesday night, 37 firearms have been surrendered nationwide, according to BuzzFeed.

No accounting was provided of how many people owned those guns, the types of firearms, or where they were surrendered.

The reports of citizens disarming themselves come after a Monday announcement by Prime minister Jacinda Ardern that several "in principle decisions" on gun control have been made by Cabinet ministers, and has praised residents who have surrendered their guns to police.

So far, we know of four people who have; Green Party member John Hart and longtime gun owner "@SirWB" - who each turned in a rifle, a grandmother who goes by the Twitter handle "@FeyHag" who said she requested for her family's guns to be handed in for destruction, and former New Zealand Army soldier Pete Breidahl - who said he warned local police of extremists at a local rifle club where he said he suspected the shooter was a member.

"All I want is to go back to my horses, say goodbye to firearms and the bullshit shooting community and its drama and let the police and government sort this one out," wrote Breidahl in a Facebook post. "I don’t NEED, want or care about guns. I can happily live my life without them."

Most reports cited three tweets, including that of John Hart, a farmer and Green Party member from Wairarapa, who told BuzzFeed News he surrendered his semiautomatic rifle two days after the attack.

He tweeted a photo of the form he signed to hand over his rifle to the police to be destroyed, saying, "We don't need these in our country. We have to make sure it's #NeverAgain." -BuzzFeed

Ardern asked residents to surrender their weapons on Monday.

"To make our community safer, the time to act is now," she said. "I want to remind people, you can surrender your gun to the police at any time. In fact I have seen reports that people are in fact already doing this. I applaud that effort, and if you are thinking about surrendering your weapon, I would encourage you to do so."

Looks like that was wishful thinking on the part of the Prime Minister.

Reps. Meadows and Jordan Send Letter to AG Bill Barr Requesting Update on DOJ’s Investigation and Prosecution of Andrew McCabe

Republican Congressmen Mark Meadows (NC) and Jim Jordan (OH) sent a letter to Attorney General Bill Barr on Wednesday asking for an update on the DOJ’s investigation and prosecution of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Meadows and Jordan, who are both members of the House Oversight Committee, requested an update from AG Bill Barr stating that the Inspector General referred McCabe’s lack of candor to the US Attorney in DC almost a year ago, yet he still has not been indicted.

“McCabe’s pattern of lies to the FBI and OIG officials was particularly troublesome because they were intended to cover up media leaks that would benefit McCabe personally and professionally,” the GOP lawmakers wrote.

“Especially in context of other outrageous conduct by senior FBI officials — including former Director James Comey, former FBI assistant general counsel Lisa Page — public transparency about the McCabe referral is vital to restoring the FBI’s integrity.”

Andrew McCabe leaked confidential investigation details and information to the media to “advance his personal interests” then lied about to the Inspector General.

The Inspector General released a scathing report on McCabe last April stating he “lacked candor” following his illegal media leaks.

“McCabe disclosed confidential investigative details to a media outlet ‘to advance his personal interest at the expense of Department leadership.’ Specifically, to rebut what he believed to be an incredibly damaging narrative about himself, McCabe directed [Lisa] Page and another FBI employee to reveal information related to the FBI’s ongoing investigation of the Clinton Foundation investigation,” the GOP lawmakers wrote, adding, “By authorizing the leak, McCabe confirmed the existence of an active FBI investigation in violation of the Departmental policies.”

Meadows and Jordan then say that when confronted whether he was the source of the leak, McCabe “concealed his conduct by lying to Comey and lied under oath” to other DOJ and OIG investigators which resulted in his termination.

McCabe was then criminally referred to the US Attorney in DC and a grand jury was impaneled to investigate him.

Andrew McCabe was also a part of the coup to remove President Trump from office and opened two inquiries into Trump shortly after the President fired Comey as FBI Director — McCabe opened the two inquiries as revenge for Trump’s firing of Comey, however he claims he was afraid Trump was obstructing justice and acting as a foreign agent on behalf of Russia, even though there was zero evidence to support his outrageous claims.

Why hasn’t McCabe been indicted yet??

Maduro Says Trump Stole $5Bln Allotted for Venezuela's Medicine Manufacturing

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the government of his US counterpart Donald Trump of stealing $5 billion from the South American country, saying these funds were allotted for the manufacturing of medicines.

"The government of US president Donald Trump stole from us $5 billion allocated for medicines and the purchase of main substances for the production of medicines in Venezuela and their deliveries to hospital networks, pharmacies and ambulance network," Maduro said during an event devoted to the relaunch of a Venezuelan national program to develop the pharmaceutical industry.

The president said Trump was responsible for "the most criminal measure" against Venezuelan people in order to subsequently say that the US authorities were ready to provide humanitarian assistance to the South American country.

Since January, Venezuela has been facing a political crisis. On January 5, lawmaker Juan Guaido was elected the head of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, which all other government branches have been refusing to recognize since 2016.

On January 23, two days after the Venezuelan Supreme Court annulled his election, Guaido declared himself the country's "interim president." Maduro, who was sworn in for his second presidential term on January 10 after winning the May election, which part of the opposition boycotted, qualified Guaido's move as an attempt to stage a coup orchestrated by Washington.

The United States immediately recognized Guaido, after which some 50 other countries, including Colombia, followed suit. Russia, China, Cuba, Bolivia and a number of other states have, in the meantime, voiced their support for the legitimate government of Maduro. Mexico and Uruguay have refused to recognize Guaido, declaring themselves neutral and promoting crisis settlement via dialogue.

Moreover, the United States blocked Venezuela’s oil assets worth $7 billion.

Washington also sought to bring what it called humanitarian aid to Venezuela with Guaido’s help. However, forces supporting Maduro prevented the cargo from crossing into Venezuela, while the president called the operation a plot to overthrow the government.

This Harvard Law Professor Keeps Spreading Conspiracy Theories — But Media Outlets Keep Citing Him

Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe has repeatedly spread conspiracy theories.

Tribe has amplified conspiracies about President Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia teaming up to expose Jeff Bezos and Russia orchestrating a plane crash to cover up collusion, among others.

Tribe’s role as internet conspiracist hasn’t kept media outlets from promoting him on TV and in news articles.

Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe has habitually spread conspiracy theories, but that hasn’t prevented him from maintaining a presence in the national media.

Tribe was among several high-profile figures to amplify a false conspiracy theory in February that President Donald Trump had teamed up with Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman to leak Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’s affair to the National Enquirer.

“Are Donald Trump and the murderous Saudi Prince bin Salman co-conspirators with David Pecker and AMI in a failed criminal plot to blackmail and extort Jeff Bezos as owner of the Washington Post? Asking for a friend in the Southern District of New York,” Tribe wrote on Twitter, where he has more than 492,000 followers.

New Zealand Bans All Assault Weapons Immediately, Says PM

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand—Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on March 21 an immediate ban on semi-automatic and automatic weapons like the ones used in the attacks on two mosques in Christchurch that killed 50 people.

The man charged in the attack had purchased his weapons legally using a standard firearms license and enhanced their capacity by using 30-round magazines “done easily through a simple online purchase,” she said.

“Every semi-automatic weapon used in the terrorist attack on Friday will be banned,” she said.

Ardern’s announcement comes less than a week after the killings, as more of the dead were being buried. At least six funerals took place Thursday.

Governments have lost control of the narrative that they are in control of events. Everyday I wake up to another instance of outrageous censorship from some ‘social media’ company blocking or banning someone for no apparent reason.

The latest outrage is Twitter banning the account of Wikileaks publisher Julian Assange’s mother, Christine.

Australian and New Zealand ISPs have gone bonkers IP blocking sites in the wake of the Christchurch massacre. Sites like Zerohedge have been targeted in the past two weeks for publishing narratives orthogonal to what the governments in the West are comfortable with people consuming.

First it was Facebook, blocking and then unblocking Zerohedge with no apparent reasoning behind it. Now its ISP’s over-reacting to an emotional event ensuring that a good crisis never goes to waste.

And these ISPs are going much farther than just avoiding any potential legal liabilities. They are now openly calling for the platforms themselves — Twitter, Facebook, etc. — be regulated by governments to stop ‘dangerous information’ from reaching the eyeballs of consumers.

And another mask is ripped off revealing the ugly totalitarians underneath.

It begins with legitimizing de-platforming people like Alex Jones and social media companies like Gab. Because some speech is too free. These are people supposedly too fringe to be suffered.

So it’s easy to whip up some public support for censorship of them alongside a one-sided media bombardment of justify their silencing to a large swath of people.

I could go on and on.

All of these false dualities, false divides are meant to drive us into two camps and act as a barrier to communication. As a sh&tlib are you more or less willing to suffer an argument for free speech if it comes from a Deplorable?
