The difference is Smullet brought his case to LE and social media, and there is proof he lied about his claims. Whereas proof for muh Russia Collusion conspiracy theory never existed whatsoever.

This sets stage for public conversation about pardoning those caught up by Mueller probe for process crimes unrelated to the [manufactured] premise of investigation.

NARRATIVE TWO; Exoneration:

Concurrent to Smullet Narrative another unfair double standard plays out in national public discourse over the idea that Mueller didn’t conclusively exonerate Trump.

The inconclusive exoneration abdicating a determination to Barr and RR is bait for Democrats to push with extreme desperation the “Mueller didn’t exonerate Trump” narrative.

This sets stage for republicans to point out that, in the face of no proof of a crime that Trump needs to be exonerated of, there IS evidence of crimes Hillary Clinton was exonerated of BEFORE she and her staff were interviewed by FBI and given immunity deals despite destroying phones and hardrives with bleechbit and hammers.

Which leads to opportunity for National conversation examining WHY they would destroy subpoenaed evidence if the contents on devices was nothing but harmless information.

Hence dual utility in letting exoneration debate exhaust itself ALAP without allowing Congress access to Mueller report; it makes exoneration debate a national conversation and eliminates ability for bad actors to silence sources.

Kudos to whomever hatched up The Plan. Y’all really spare no opportunity to hit multiple birds with one stone.
